Good filtering and blocking with very good security
Like any technological tool, it must always be at the forefront of the competition and this tool must make improvements in the accuracy of spam detection since it sometimes generates false messages. The ease of use with the user interface could be better as it is very static. A more current interface, on the other hand, could improve performance, and reduce possible latency. It should also improve integration with other security products on the market since this will make it much easier to have a fairly hybrid environment.

Stable, easy to scale, and has anti-spam and anti-spyware features, but support needs to be faster and more knowledgeable
I've contacted Forcepoint Email Security support, but I'm not satisfied with the answer speed. It could be a lot faster. I also get more answers on the internet than from the technical support team, so Forcepoint Email Security needs more knowledgeable support. On a scale of one to five, my rating for the technical support of Forcepoint Email Security is three.

Pros

"When sharing files with my colleagues, it provides a comprehensive report on the security status of the document."
"It is certainly very beneficial for a small business and works best in combination with other Check Point blades, such as the Data Protection Blade that protects against data loss via email."
"It refreshes the dynamic database regularly to ensure IP addresses that no longer misbehave are not blocked by mistake."
"Mail sanitisation features are second to none."
"I like the flexible configuration set, e.g. both the content-based and the IP reputation anti-spam are supported, but you may choose to disable the mechanism you don't like."
"Check Point offers us flexibility when it comes to customizing the configurations that we want to manage, thus allowing us to meet the specific needs of our company."
"This solution helped us lock down and have our infrastructure easier to manage."
"Due to its technology, monitoring, and manufacturer features, we have been able to reduce the intrusion of spam and other threats that can be uploaded via email."
"We have found the product to be stable."
"I like how versatile the options are. For example, we can set it where we are able to access and browse Facebook but we are denied the ability to post photos. There is also that ability integrate with Office 365 - SharePoint app."
"It's easier to deploy than other options."
"All of the filtering features are very nice."
"Unlike other competitors, it doesn't cause any performance issues."
"The Forcepoint Email Security roadmap easily integrates with the data loss prevention (DLP) suite of Forcepoint. Therefore, the customer doesn't have to buy another solution for DLP."
"The email and the web filter aspects of the solution are the most valuable features."
"The most valuable features of Forcepoint Email Security are the integration with other solutions. It provides a more secure infrastructure and views for the customers from the DLP. You can work on URLs, files, and advanced inspections that will protect the customers."

Cons

"The high-end protection of email servers from any advanced foreign agents and malware is not 100% there currently."
"One thing which annoys me with the Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade is its customer support portal which still lags in service even after so many developments."
"I can say that the solution's price level is a problematic area that needs to be considered for improvement."
"A major area for improvement is within some of the heavily discounted software blade add-ons on top of the current Next Generation Threat Prevention and SandBlast and Next Generation Threat Prevention offerings."
"It does not provide for standalone configuration on the security gateway. Instead, you need to have a management server/smart console for managing it."
"I think that the pricing for the Check Point products should be reconsidered, as we found it to be quite expensive to purchase and to maintain."
"Installation time could be improved as it takes too long to install."
"Improvements could be made to the user interface and reporting because the management console can feel a bit outdated, so a more real-time dashboard would make it easier, and while the detection is strong, false positive tuning is sometimes needed as occasional legitimate emails get flagged as spam and phishing."
"It would be better if it were simpler to deploy on one or two machines instead of three or four machines."
"Technical support is lacking. It could be a lot better."
"The pricing could always be just a little bit better."
"I would like for deployment to be simplified."
"Forcepoint is the best for DLP, but it is not better than other solutions in terms of phishing emails or threat protections on the email. It has less visibility over there. They might need to enhance these components because other solutions, such as Cisco Email Security and IronPort, have more advanced features. Forcepoint should focus more on threats and spam. They have a small database for spam. They must increase their solution's capability from this perspective."
"I would like to see some improvement like cloud application and integration capabilities and the classification part is missing from the DLP."
"We've fixed a couple of issues on the solution so far. It doesn't work perfectly all the time."
"Forcepoint Email Security is stable, but it could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost is competitive with other security products on the market."
"Reasonably priced solution."
"For licensing, my company makes yearly payments, which is expensive."
"This is a simple system with a very low cost and basic functions, which surely is ideal for a small company."
"I rate the product pricing a seven out of ten."
"Choosing the correct set of licenses is essential because, without the additional software blade licenses, the Check Point gateways are just a stateful firewall."
"I rate the pricing as an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"The licensing is user base (per user). The product is purchased mostly by medium to large companies. For smaller companies, we have other solutions because the pricing is not cheap."
"My company pays for Forcepoint Email Security licensing annually."
"When compared to other email security solutions, the price is not cheap."
"Licensing is a yearly subscription that is based on the number of users."
"Its licensing is quite easy and straightforward. They have two or three suites, and the price is negotiable. It depends upon the size of the deal. They have multiple licenses. The standard is one, and then there are additional licenses that you can go for. There are three or four licensing models. You have the network suite, endpoint suite, email security, and the standard one."
"There are three types of support licenses."
