Financial processes have become automated and integrated reporting delivers faster insights
A lot of my clients are complaining about the SAP license policy. I think that is quite intransparent and obviously quite expensive. I think that is a usual complaint. And also the flexibility to shift between different products and getting some kind of credits. People perceive that as intransparent and also not really flexible. This is what I would say. And obviously, as the product is quite complex, it's not intuitive. But this is basically the business processes. I would say the business processes themselves are complex, so I think this is not a problem of the system, it's rather a problem of the business processes that are trying to be reflected in the system. It's not a disadvantage but just a perception clients often quote. Everybody can improve. I think it depends on what kind of support package you have agreed with SAP. It depends, do you have premium service, do you have the basic support? Obviously, the basic support is lacking, but the SAP premium engagement, if you have chosen that one, then that's adequate. It's not, I would say it's not a great experience, but it's a good support. If you pay for it, you get what you need.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"Certinia ERP is user-friendly and provides comprehensive support for accounting-related tasks."
"It has features like bank reconciliation and the financial report builder which enhance operational efficiency."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"The product's most valuable features include its real-time data storage and integration capabilities through SAP connectors."
"I have found the financial and production modules to be the most valuable features."
"The accounting on SAP is great."
"We have 18 years or so of experience with SAP and we've always found the solution to be excellent."
"Performs well and can be used with a wide range of devices."
"I'd rate the solution nine out of ten."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the seamless integration of different modules into one solution."

Cons

"The bank statement feature takes a lot of time and can be improved to make reconciliation quicker."
"The customer support takes too long to respond, which could be improved by focusing on reducing the time for issue resolution."
"It's not easy to facilitate the solution between us and SAP, so we have had to leave those issues open."
"The only thing that could be improved would be the complexity of the initial setup."
"It is really hard. You need a team of specialists to implement this solution."
"The price is mainly suitable for larger companies, even then, there may be other, cheaper solutions. Additionally, this solution is the result of multiple acquisitions leaving room for there to be issues with performance."
"The only thing I would improve is the overall user experience, particularly the mobile app."
"I would like to see a feature where it allows integration with more platforms."
"There have been some pain points in moving from SAP to S/4HANA, but the company seems to be staying on top of those issues."
"The initial setup can be complex, depending on the environment."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten."
"The solution's costs have significantly increased, and we have not seen any anticipated cost savings."
"The price of SAP S/4HANA Cloud is expensive. However, the benefits are good. We did not purchase any upgrades."
"I'm not directly involved in the pricing discussions; it's more of a concern for the finance team."
"Its pricing is way over any of the other ERPs. I'd rate it one out of ten in terms of pricing."
"This is a pricey solution that best serves large enterprises. Be sure to ensure that your company's requirements need to be fulfilled by SAP. There are many other ERP's that are cheaper yet highly functional. However, it is still cheaper than some of the competition (i.e. Oracle, ESD, etc.)"
"It's very expensive."
"Pricing wise, SAP S4HANA Cloud is very expensive. The licensing cost can be 100,000 euros per year, depending on the number of users in your company."
