Extensive real-time analytics and superior support enhance decision making but continued product evolution impacts existing investments
Improvement is needed, and they need to slow down. When I say slow down, they need to do more validation. Things are going rapidly and changing fast. For example, they moved from SAP SRM product to SAP CLM. They bought IBM CLM and marketed it as SAP CLM. Shortly after, they bought SAP Ariba and discontinued the SAP CLM product. Now they state that SAP SRM is outdated and has reached sunset. The challenge is that if a customer has already deployed the entire solution on-premises, it becomes difficult to immediately convert to the new product and manage new license costs. From a consulting perspective, it appears that SAP's biggest competitor is itself, as they sometimes discontinue their own products to promote new ones.

Pros

"It has features like bank reconciliation and the financial report builder which enhance operational efficiency."
"Certinia ERP is user-friendly and provides comprehensive support for accounting-related tasks."
"The most valuable aspect of SAP S/4HANA Cloud is its ease of deployment and the reduced hassles of infrastructure support."
"The product's most valuable features include its real-time data storage and integration capabilities through SAP connectors."
"The reporting that we are doing from SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a valuable feature."
"The good thing about SAP S_4HANA Cloud is its scalability, performance, and great database compression, which far exceeds traditional databases such as Oracle, allowing for large data storage at reduced costs, plus faster real-time transaction processing compared to ECC 6.0."
"I like that it saves every transaction, so anything is traceable."
"I like the SAP offerings and the standard best practices included in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud version."
"It is a straightforward solution."
"For supply chain management, we are using WMS. When you go to public cloud, you get a full-fledged EWM."

Cons

"The bank statement feature takes a lot of time and can be improved to make reconciliation quicker."
"The customer support takes too long to respond, which could be improved by focusing on reducing the time for issue resolution."
"It is a complicated solution. So it should be easier to use."
"The solution is expensive. That can be an issue for clients."
"I don't recommend it for very small enterprises."
"The solution could improve by adding a planning model, such as BPC. Additionally, if we need to make changes in the profit center it has to be done manually. It is not connected to the cost center."
"The scalability of SAP S/4HANNA is an area that could be improved."
"The reporting aspect needs improvement, specifically in integrating the EWM and MM modules into a single report."
"The scalability of the solution could improve."
"The proposition by SAP does not match the value realization."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The pricing is competitive with other products at that level in that category."
"The solution's costs have significantly increased, and we have not seen any anticipated cost savings."
"I feel the solution is expensive when it comes to what can be obtained with open source software."
"I don't remember the specifics about the licensing, but it's scaled and modular. You pay for what you use. It's not a one-size-fits-all license. You have a license for every single module. It's similar to Oracle."
"The tool's pricing is reasonable."
"The pricing model can be complicated in certain scenarios."
"The pricing of SAP S/4HANA Cloud is on the higher side."
"The license for S/4HANA is expensive, and the licensing structure is hard to understand. The admin license is something like 500 euros per user. Other ERP solutions allowed you to pick only the modules you need. The SAP ECC version requires you to take all the modules even if you are not using them."
