Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Integrates well, highly stable, and scalable
CA Asset Portfolio Management can improve the uploading of batch information. I have to upload large amounts of information and it can take a long time to finish. There are some other solutions that are better, such as Micro Focus. We have approximately 10,000 PCs that we are busy processing and we have to upload information to them but when we use this solution it is complex. When we use Micro Focus it is better.

It is stable and has useful features, but the automation feature needs improvement
All of the features are very suitable for us. It is also a stable solution Its automation feature needs improvement. They can include the vRealize Automation feature in this solution. I have been using VMware Service Manager for more than six years. It is stable. Its scalability is good, but…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Automation Anywhere has equipped us with amazing tools including Bot Insight, IQ Bot, Discovery Bot, etc."
"It an easy, simple, and user-friendly tool that can be accessed through the mobile application as well."
"The initial setup was straightforward. It is a very guided experience: out-of-the-box with Automation Anywhere University training."
"The Bot Store is an online library where anybody can find variously developed, production-ready bots."
"The data capture feature is very valuable. I know there are also some elements where you have to be able to incorporate AI, but I haven't gotten to that level yet."
"Earlier users were converting the unstructured data from the PDF into the structured format to process the task but now, this activity is replaced by IQ Bot."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to transform data into clusters."
"Automation Anywhere helped multiple clients to save a lot of data entry time and have automated almost every repetitive task, and AA Control Room helped to manage the operations of both attended and unattended automations and have helped a continuous run of the bots saving hundreds of thousands of dollars."
"It enables us to make better business and financial decisions."
"Reduces software cost. Reduces the risk of software audits."
"You build the items one time and then you have your discovery that's coming in and the system will let you know whether or not you're out of compliance."
"Cost, time, and risks that relate to auditing of compliance are greatly reduced with the use of IT asset manager."
"When we chose the CA product, it was the best product for all the tasks we had to do."
"It's easy to integrate with our system information."
"With the CA Asset Management tool, we have the ability to very quickly find our software compliance, so now, as an ongoing process, we know exactly where we stand with software and the opportunities that we have in our environment."
"Enables me to know where an asset is at any point during its lifecycle: How old it is, who it belongs to, and where it's at within that lifecycle."
"We have installed a physical server for failover; we need to configure cluster on everything, but with VMware, we do not need to cluster because we automatically get seven physical nodes failover and if one fails we have no issues."
"It provides us with improved maintenance cycles."
"All of the features are very suitable for us. It is also a stable solution."
"The Service Desk module and the Workflow module, which is extremely powerful."
"Simplicity and flexibility are its major plus points making it a leading industry solution for deploying cloud environments."
"It provides us the following: A better utilisation of the hardware, more flexibility, improved maintenance cycles, and a system overview."

Cons

"Automation Anywhere can be improved by addressing the server issues we occasionally encounter when running the bot on the runner."
"Certain areas of the user interface require improvement."
"If we are going through the high availability in the IQ Bot setup, it's a bit complex."
"However, when it comes to the agentic capabilities, there is still a gap where I need to figure out how the token consumption is happening and how my agents are talking with other agents."
"I am looking into IQ Bot, but I wanted more out of it. I am dealing with a lot of scanned documents. I want to see if Automation Anywhere can scan client emails for us because our clients send emails with some incidents and issues. We want to see how automation can automatically do the processing and create some structured data or automate bots to get work done."
"The quality and response time of the support, even on Sev-1 tickets, is not satisfactory."
"It is very difficult to create and automate timetables because they are modal, and it would be helpful if the bot could assist us with this."
"I would like to see GitHub or GitLab integration in the next version."
"The UI, even though they upgraded the UI, it's still kind of dated, it's a little bit convoluted to use. It's not like something that you can sit down and automatically understand how to use it."
"Complex software to understand at the beginning."
"There were a lot of things that we had to prepare for that we weren't thinking about with this installation. I think from a CA standpoint, the software was good. But us preparing for that, we had a lot more work to do."
"One additional improvement – the reporting aspect in SAM is poor; we need different reporting for different purposes – compliance reporting for executive management and the product teams."
"I'd like to see end-of-life information on software products."
"Very complex to setup with Human Resource, help desk, procurement, and supply chain systems."
"Keeping the catalog updated and having more titles in the catalog is helpful, because the more items that are in the catalog, your process goes faster because you don't have to manually build all the entitlements."
"IT asset manager is very complex when integrated with other systems like HR, help desk, procurement and supply chain systems."
"Still new in the market and a lot of its features are still not yet explored."
"It needs to improve user roles and access rights."
"Its automation feature needs improvement. They can include the vRealize Automation feature in this solution."
"Graphical User Interface looks a little bit old-school."
"Not a ten because the price is high."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It has good licensing costs which are average for the market."
"As far as costs, it depends on your use. We started with a basic department pack, which is over 10K. The additional costs depend on the scale of the engagement and how it pans out. We customize to our needs on the go."
"Automation Anywhere might have a higher upfront cost than some competitors, but its extensive features and seamless integration with other tools can save organizations money in the long run."
"When you compare the cost of Automation Anywhere with UiPath and Blue Prism, those others are much less. Licensing-wise, UiPath wins the deal."
"It's justified because we have saved quite a bit of money at the company and many manual hours. Overall, it justifies the cost."
"The cost is high for small-scale businesses but it is fine for medium and large enterprises. Its high licensing cost may affect small-scale businesses. Reducing licensing costs would benefit many users."
"The licensing cost of Automation Anywhere is better than UiPath and Blue Prism."
"No one is balking at the cost. They are market rates and will change, but no one is saying, "That is ridiculous or impossible." They are saying, "Show me the ROI and prove that the cost is accurate.""
