A simple and lightweight college course automation system with third-party integrations
The initial setup is straightforward and can be completed with the environment within an hour. First, take the latest from the git repository and check the git code to the monitor studio and a bar file, a deployable Bonita archive file. Then, take that process to the Bonita server, running at runtime on another server. Finally, deploy and enable it by selecting the proper organization.

Cloud platform orchestrates business processes with AI capabilities
I find the capabilities that a normal orchestrator should have to be valuable in WorkFusion. The WorkFusion 10 cloud-based platform is different from the earlier on-prem version, WorkFusion 9. The platform now includes auto machine learning and AI capabilities. We haven't used these extensively, but they are a nice feature they are working on. The platform remains stable with well-designed processes, despite being a complex and technical tool.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Customer Service: Very good, also the commercial team !Technical Support: Perfect ! and the community is a great help also"
"Of the three BPM vendors I evaluated, Bonita was the best in creating forms, ease of customization of forms, and versatility of supported platforms, and it is the only BPM platform that I've seen so far that allows for versioning of artifacts."
"The most valuable features of Bonita are the connectors, detailed documentation, and web applications. The documentation was useful because it is how I learned how to use it."
"Bonita BPM is simple and fast; it is very easy to install and use."
"Bonita is user-friendly, and the features are useful."
"Compared to other products on the market, Bonita presents a pretty acceptable level of robustness."
"The user interface is better than all of the open-source BPMs that I have tried."
"The user interface is easy to use."
"Their robots have increased the rate of efficiency by two to five times in our organization."
"The robots have helped increase the rate of efficiency by 75% to 80% from a customer perspective and 30% from an order entry perspective."
"WorkFusion's RPA Express's ability to scale across multiple geographies with limited impact on additional IT Hardware requirements. This has enabled the scaling of Robotics capabilities and solutions across all our entities."
"The customer support is very responsive."
"If it is the first time a customer is a victim of fraud, he gets a refund within 10 to 15 minutes."
"From a business point of view, we have accomplished what we wanted to."
"WorkFusion's SAP integrations are really good."
"In terms of stability, it's quite good. It's an internal IP product."

Cons

"The community edition has limited module functionality."
"The solution is stable. However, we have experienced a few bugs."
"I should be able to park the tasks that are within a process in a kind of container, and dynamically, a super admin should be able to connect these processes. This kind of feature might be helpful."
"BPMN 2.0 notations are not all supported, would love to see them all coming in (e.g. complex gateway)."
"Scalability of the Bonita BPM Community version is low."
"The interface is advanced and quite good, but it could improve."
"There is a considerable learning curve."
"The initial setup is not easy compared to other products."
"The upgrade process is a nightmare."
"It is difficult for non-technical users to use WorkFusion. If we really want to build automation, we definitely need Java developers."
"WorkFusion comes packed with certain libraries and .jars. At times, you understand that you're using a system in which a library or .jar is outdated and you need to upgrade it... They need to better manage quickly making changes in WorkFusion to accommodate a situation where other technologies are not supporting the platform."
"The product needs to be "simple and easy" to use. A good example of this is the use of Python code to perform automations. It is free and the skills transfer is able to happen quickly and the operation and initiation of the completed automation is easy to execute."
"If WorkFusion goes down, it is a big problem."
"It is difficult for non-technical users to use WorkFusion. If we really want to build automation, we definitely need Java developers. Their RPA is not for non-technical people. If I look at competing products, like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, or even Power Automate, a non-technical person can build basic automations and deploy them. Since non-technical people can easily build basic automations, they can be deployed in no time. With WorkFusion, there isn't a similar feature that works well. One needs to write code from scratch to build automation. That is definitely a deterrent if we really want to do quick, dirty automation. I would not rate WorkFusion very high on their no-code, low-code paradigm. In this area, I would definitely expect them to improve."
"The OCR capability should also be improved."
"So far, we have developed only one automation using machine learning. The results were less than optimal. Part of this could be because of the use case that was selected. Overall, our experience was suboptimal. WorkFusion was an outstanding partner in terms of providing their experts for free to help us on that particular use case, but we still have a lot of things to figure out in terms of how to use its machine learning capability."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The Enterprise edition is very expensive."
"You pay an annual fee and can have an unlimited number of processes and users."
"The price of the solution is reasonable."
"We are using the Community Version, which can be used free of charge."
"Licensing cost for the Enterprise edition comes out to be around 40,000 a year. There is also a Community edition, which is free. Some customers can go for the Community edition, but some of them require the Enterprise edition. Big companies go for the Enterprise edition, which comes with a lot of additional features such as a mobile app."
"I am using the free version of Bonita."
"The Community Edition comes free of charge."
"The product's pricing is acceptable. Pricing is yearly."
"I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
"In addition to the licensing fee, there is also an implementation cost for each use case and technical support costs."
"As a first-time customer who wants to engage with WorkFusion, not working for my company, then I would want to do a PoC. The cost is prohibitive because they will ask me to get infrastructure with six or seven servers. Then, you must buy a WorkFusion license to do a PoC, which is expensive. I would then have to set up a team to build the PoC and see the benefits. That is very prohibitive."
"Find it online."
"The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
"The pricing is fair because WorkFusion's out-of-the-box solution is appealing."
"My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
"It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
