Standardized our Java estate and have reduced licensing costs while maintaining strong support
Azul Zulu's ability to allow us to standardize our Java estate on a single and well-supported platform stands out as one of its best features. This standardization simplifies our compliance audits and ensures all our applications receive timely security updates.Azul Zulu positively impacts our organization by providing a platform that allows us to standardize Java on a well-supported platform. Without the high cost associated with other proprietary vendors, Azul Zulu provides an excellent platform for running our applications.

Crowdsourced knowledge has grown into a trusted customer hub and now supports richer adoption journeys
One inconvenience is that because we are crowdsourced, we have hundreds of contributors every year, with most people only submitting one article, maybe two, so it does not make sense to pay for licenses for all of those people. This leads to some intermediary manual copy-paste processes because we just cannot have everybody working in the system itself, making it a little bit problematic for maintaining a source of truth. The main issues with NICE CXone are the lack of ability to integrate with some internal things that we want to do; it has to do with the way the system is designed, which is complex. We wanted to integrate with our internal system for instant translations, and we were not able to do that, along with a couple of other things that illustrate that it is kind of an isolated system to itself, making it pretty hard to tap into and grow even further. There are a couple of little issues with reporting that have not been very good, but really, the system is very functional.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We've had no issues with stability."
"We achieved specific outcomes from using Azul Zulu by reducing our Java licensing and support costs by approximately 70% when compared to our previous Oracle contract."
"Converting our PDFs to MindTouch is like adding a huge new feature to our software product line and it has, so far, had a great approval rate amongst our clients."
"Being able to listen in on a call, which is exceptionally good with training."
"I have found the ease of use of the ACD to be most valuable along with the inView dashboard."
"Some of the best features with NICE CXone are the real-time visibility that you have, which empowers you to make adjustments on the fly, such as turning on and off your queues and adjusting how we route calls to our agents."
"The initial setup of NICE CXone was straightforward and easy for our team, as the implementation team we worked with was very good at what they did."
"A combination of these two elements yields positive impact, and we see metrics indicating self-servicing where calls are not getting escalated to agents, and feedback has improved significantly."
"Because of the simplicity and the reliability, NICE CXone is a very nice, easy-to-use product."
"If you are wondering if you or your company should use NICE inContact, I would suggest reaching out to them and asking for a demonstration."

Cons

"Improvements for Azul Zulu could include more automated tools for unused code visibility integrated directly into the standard portal to help further optimize our cloud footprints."
"It needs a better update daemon. At this time the process is manual and could be an issue on multiple desktop deployments."
"I think that there is a bit of a delay in the accuracy and reliability of the output I see in NICE CXone, as I mentioned before."
"I have noticed that occasionally the dashboard will freeze and some things may get stuck for a while."
"If you have hundreds of books, the initial download is slow."
"I was using a very old version (2010), and the user interface was bad making it difficult to perform simple tasks."
"Occasionally, the system runs slow and will kick us out of Max, which then has to be restarted, and can cause issues as our call center deals with time sensitive phone calls."
"One of the biggest missing pieces is a link checker."
"Your docs go on their servers and getting them out is difficult, especially if you want to switch to another authoring format, e.g., Markdown. There are no converters and an automated extraction of the docs from the CMS is not available."
"NICE CXone is a good feature, but it is expensive and costlier than other products such as Genesis or other alternatives."
