Has a free version, is secure and reliable
I'm a consultant. I recommend free Avast, then ESET. If they want to be more secure, you can go to ESET, the bigger license. If you want to have a cheap license, Avast is good. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. I do prefer ESET, however. Yet I would recommend either product as they are both pretty good.

Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Our favorite feature is the PC Patch Management."
"Avast Business Endpoint Protection's best feature is its user-friendliness."
"It has increased productivity. IT threats are kept at a minimum because of this product."
"It's not heavy on the system."
"The solution is easy to use."
"It warns you if there is a threat and it's perfect because it runs in the background and doesn't interfere with anything."
"Avast as a product is as easy as it gets - everything is outlined and transparent in terms of licensing."
"The performance is good compared to other products that slow down the laptop, post-installation."
"We use patch management to keep our software up-to-date, significantly mitigating our risk of vulnerabilities. We're confident that Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security will either already know about new threats and have updated our machines, or they'll advise us quickly on mitigating them until an update is available."
"The domain integrator functionality is particularly noteworthy, allowing me to leverage my existing network infrastructure."
"The cloud console is good and the tool is effective in protection."
"What I appreciate most about Bitdefender are its web content filtering, blocking malicious sites, and its ability to thwart brute force attacks on open ports."
"The installation is easy and it takes approximately a few hours. We are deploying it from a Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool. All you need to do is click on it and the installation is complete."
"The most valuable feature is the IDS."
"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"You will always have a backup copy of any policy the Bitdefender user defines."

Cons

"It could download faster during deployment."
"It should have proper and timely updates to deal with new viruses as they come onto the market."
"The accuracy of the scanner could be improved."
"Making the price a bit cheaper would be an improvement."
"The solution could improve by providing more security."
"It could have a 10,000-feet overview of the whole infrastructure because the software is easily installable on the whole infrastructure and not just the infrastructure, but also the workstation themselves. I would love to have a 360 view of the whole network and basically see from where a test is coming, and if there is an instance in the cloud that is actually misbehaving or if there is a workstation that is infected and stuff like that. It can also have some kind of AI to detect all those things and then cut off the connection from that machine. In Cortex, you can link the logs, reports, and all that stuff. You can also see the full picture of when it happened, and you can trace it back all the way to a file or something else. I would like to see similar functionality in Avast Business Endpoint Protection."
"Avast Business Endpoint Protection would be improved with more frequent updates."
"The solution needs to be more secure and work to protect us better from people trying to mess with our systems."
"There is room for improvement in CPU utilization."
"The tool needs to improve patch and vulnerability management."
"The dashboard can be improved."
"I think it would be helpful if I could get a live console directly on the machine. Additionally, if I could run scripts on the machines to respond to any incidents, that would be a great feature."
"It could be simplified a little bit for firewall rules and blocking specific IP addresses. It would be nice to have an option to upload a CSV or XLSX file of IP addresses to be blacklisted or to be able to specify a range as attempted logins from botnets and people attempting to access network accounts is an increasing issue across the board."
"The security features as per customers' requirements should be improved."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"The price has increased marginally recently and I would prefer if they didn't raise rates."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"If you become a partner, you will receive the wholesale price."
"It is $75 per license for a year. There are no additional costs."
"We are on a monthly subscription for Avast Business Endpoint Protection."
"I am using the free version."
"There are no costs other than licensing."
"I am using the free version of Avast."
"In terms of the licensing costs associated with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security, the agreement was made nearly three years ago, but from what I recall, the figure was around €6,000 to €7,000 for three years, including support for two hundred endpoints."
"In India, licensing is based on annual contracts. It's not extremely expensive, but not the cheapest either. I'd rate it somewhere around seven or eight out of ten."
"The tool's pricing structure is good. We use an annual subscription."
"The price is fair."
"Good in terms of pricing and flexibility."
"There are many licensing options available, we have been on monthly agreements and other volume contract agreements."
"The tool is not expensive and pricing is competitive."
"It has very flexible licensing costs, and it's modular-based."
