Has supported mid-market deployments with cloud-based centralized management and reliable wireless performance
I faced challenges earlier with a limitation of 50 APs in single sites, but that has enhanced to 100 numbers, eliminating that challenge for Aruba Instant On team. Additionally, some features are not listed in the cloud management platform and still require offline access, so enhancing the cloud management features would be better for us.

Customers are increasingly focusing on seamless roaming between Dell Ruckus access points. They want to know how quickly and reliably their devices can switch connections as they move around, minimizing downtime and disruptions. Specifically, they are interested in the frequency and aggressiveness of roaming protocols, ensuring smooth transitions without disconnecting from the network. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The cost is low, and there is controller-less architecture."
"The solution is stable, and we are satisfied."
"The most valuable feature of Aruba Instant On is that it is cloud-managed, making it easy to manage multiple locations in a single dashboard, especially on cloud, and it can even be managed by a mobile app, which is the best feature for mid-market customers who don't have much expertise or manpower resource."
"What I like best about Aruba Instant is that it serves as a virtual controller, so you don't need to buy other equipment to manage all your access points. I also like that the solution is easy to use."
"I find network management features related to monitoring Wi-Fi usage and visited sites particularly valuable. Content filtering is also important to prevent access to malicious or inappropriate websites. It is reliable and simple."
"Aruba is a great product, I've used it for a couple of years and it's been working well."
"I would rate the stability a ten out of ten."
"If you don't need heavy-duty filtering and things like that, it's a cheap solution. And, you have central management, and it works."
"My advice for anybody who is considering this solution is that they do not need to complete a proof of concept."

Cons

"I'd rate it a two out of five in terms of affordability. It's more on the expensive side."
"Aruba Instant is a simple and scalable solution that works well, but the costs you incur from access points could be cheaper."
"Integration between the two is pricey and that would be my one complaint about this product."
"The wireless coverage should be increased"
"It is good as it is. If anything, its reporting could be improved."
"They could offer a new model for access points that are outdoors."
"The product's high cost is an area where improvements are required."
"The management interface in Aruba Instant Management is Aruba AirWave, in my opinion, it is not very user-friendly."
"The security needs to be improved because we have had problems with people accessing our network using the VPN."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Avoid the Central cloud license if you can."
"The product is reasonably priced."
"There’s no licensing required to use the tool."
"I personally would rather pay that little bit more and get what I need because I know what I'm getting, as opposed to going for something cheaper that's not as manageable and doesn't give as much."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"Aruba Instant is affordable."
"Some aspect of the price of Aruba Instant is very economical because if the customer is requiring more features the customer needs to pay a higher amount."
"The tool's pricing is neither cheap nor expensive."
