Has reliable technical support and good stability
From my experience using Bosch, I would recommend it to somebody considering it. I would rate it an eight out of ten. There are better solutions on the market. To make it a perfect ten, they should improve the price. There is a learning curve and sometimes there are issues from the software.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We're running it on a virtual server, which we can easily upgrade if needed."
"I like the UI rework, it's much easier."
"Airflow integrates well with Cloudera and effectively supports complex operations."
"Since it's widely adopted by the community, Apache Airflow is a user-friendly solution."
"I found the following features very useful: DAG - Workload management and orchestration of tasks using."
"The reason we went with Airflow is its DAG presentation, that shows the relationships among everything. It's more of a configuration-driven workflow."
"The solution is quite configurable so it is easy to code within a configuration kind of environment."
"Since Apache works very well on Python, we can manage everything and create pipelines there."
"We contact their customer support often. They are very good and reliable."

Cons

"Programmatically, it's very good, and it doesn't have any competitors, but you cannot develop anything in Airflow UI. You need to develop everything within the program. In the market, other tools have come up recently as competitors to Airflow, and they also give graphical programming options, whereas Airflow doesn't provide that feature currently. All the DAGs you want to build need to be coded in Python."
"Currently, Apache Airflow is closely coupled, limiting the ability to link to outside channels by ourselves."
"We need to develop our workflow description and notations because out of the box, Apache Airflow does not provide some features that are needed."
"I would like to see some no-code capabilities and drag and drop abilities in Airflow."
"Running frequent jobs, such as every minute or five minutes, is not appropriate for Airflow. It is not suitable for real-time ETL tasks."
"The UI is a little bit outdated according to modern standards."
"We have faced scenarios where Apache Airflow becomes non-responsive, leading to job failures. To resolve such situations, we had to manually reboot Apache Airflow since it doesn't provide an option to restart within the application. This necessitated modifying some configurations to initiate a restart of all Apache Airflow components. Although Apache Airflow is generally dependable, it may occasionally encounter glitches that can disrupt production flows and batches."
"The in-built package dependencies in Python have some issues in Apache Airflow, making it an area that needs improvement."
"There are better solutions on the market. To make it a perfect ten, they should improve the price. There is a learning curve and sometimes there are issues from the software."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's open-source."
"Apache Airflow is a cheap solution."
"It's open source. You can install it locally on your own system. If you are deploying it in the production system, you normally deploy it on some cloud, such as EC2 service, which would have some cost. If you are setting up a Docker container or something for Apache Airflow yourself, which is quite easy, you can do pretty much everything online."
"I use the tool's open-source version."
"Apache Airflow is a product that is free of licenses, meaning there is no need to buy a license."
"Apache Airflow is a free solution that can be downloaded and ready for use at any moment."
"Apache Airflow is open-source and free of charge."
"It is an open-source solution."
