The primary use case of Altair Monarch was data extraction. I used it to process a lot of documents and data from Notepad and PDFs, converting those into structured data for basic analysis and reporting. It facilitated data preparation and data extraction effectively Altair Monarch is valuable…

Low-code integrations have automated workflows and save time across enterprise applications
They can enhance the error handling and debugging part. Troubleshooting complex pipeline failures can be time-consuming. We are spending a lot of time on error handling. More detailed error messages and root cause analysis tools can be added, which will definitely improve the developer experience. In the Ultra real-time integrations, we can monitor the last execution history of only 100 runs. That can be increased, which would be one of the platform improvements that can really be taken. However, they are doing very well because lots of ChatGPTs and AI assistants have been added in the last two years, which makes a very good effect. SnapLogic is the only platform that provides this kind of visibility to the developers. Anyone, even if they have low experience and are starting their IT careers, can directly jump in and learn SnapLogic. The documentation is very easy to learn. Anyone, even a layman, can refer to that documentation and go through its Snap-pack to understand what configuration has to be done to use this Snap-pack. This makes SnapLogic definitely exceptional in the market. You won't find such comprehensive documentation in other iPaaS tools. The draggable packs truly demonstrate its power in usability. Governance and security are also well in place in SnapLogic, but there are areas for improvement. They can add more granular role and permission controls that provide greater flexibility for large enterprises. For example, if you have to provide access to 70 users in one shot, that can be improved. More improvements in policy enforcement capabilities are possible as well. SnapLogic can improve the data lineage part to achieve better end-to-end visibility into data movement. Also, during validation, we can only see up to 2,000 records currently. They can increase that from 2,000 to 20,000. They can put more visibility on costs and resource visibility, with better reporting on platform usage, processing consumption, and cost optimization opportunities.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Altair Monarch is valuable because it allows a one-time setup for data extraction, making the process extremely easy with just a few clicks to get the output."
"Monarch lets you quickly extract in your preferred format."
"SnapLogic has positively impacted our organization by enabling us to reach our delivery within our timeline."
"SnapLogic has positively impacted our organization by providing an alternative to Informatica, which was challenging due to licensing and other issues."
"Using SnapLogic saves a lot of time when we develop pipelines, and importing data from Excel systems, especially when dealing with thousands of records, takes minimal time, which improves customer satisfaction as professional services teams successfully migrate legacy products to the latest ones."
"SnapLogic has positively impacted my organization as it is my primary automation platform and integrations, touching pretty much all of my major systems."
"It's easy to use, scalable and reusable and it's overall a great product."
"I find the reusability and the snaps to be very valuable features."
"SnapLogic is a powerful tool that is easy to use; it is more beneficial, more secure, and more stable compared to other tools I have used previously."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."

Cons

"I rate Altair Monarch seven out of 10 for affordability. Recently, the pricing model changed from end-user licensing to a concurrent licensing model."
"We have hit some snags, but we believe that is more on our CRM side than SnapLogic."
"For SnapLogic's AI capabilities, I would say its accuracy is around 85 to 90 percent, and reliability is also around the same, meaning I cannot blindly trust the output and should always review and improve it if required."
"When it comes to handling large volumes of data or high-throughput workloads, I have mixed opinions."
"Areas for improvement for SnapLogic include enhancing the documentation, especially by providing more complex examples in each Snappack, to cover various use cases that different team members may encounter."
"I don't think the support has better knowledge about technologies and tool support. There were lots of times when we had an issue, and it took me quite a long time to explain the problem. I feel like some of the support staff don't know their product well."
"Regarding SnapLogic's AI capabilities, the accuracy and reliability of output are 50-50, but there is a lot of scope for improvement because I cannot rely on SnapLogic or SnapLogic AI or SnapGPT for the development which I am currently handling."
"They can enhance the error handling and debugging part. Troubleshooting complex pipeline failures can be time-consuming."
"I think that the biggest improvement needed for SnapLogic would be the learning curve. Without the use of the GPT, I think we would have really struggled as a business to adopt it."
