Focused on inventory and accounting production; valuable inventory control and sales recording
The Acumatica features I found most valuable are inventory control and sales recording Additional features I would like to see in the next release are more flexible reporting options. I would specifically benefit from the ability to create comparative reports for many months instead of having to…

A lot of my clients are complaining about the SAP license policy. I think that is quite intransparent and obviously quite expensive. I think that is a usual complaint. And also the flexibility to shift between different products and getting some kind of credits. People perceive that as intransparent and also not really flexible. This is what I would say. And obviously, as the product is quite complex, it's not intuitive. But this is basically the business processes. I would say the business processes themselves are complex, so I think this is not a problem of the system, it's rather a problem of the business processes that are trying to be reflected in the system. It's not a disadvantage but just a perception clients often quote. Everybody can improve. I think it depends on what kind of support package you have agreed with SAP. It depends, do you have premium service, do you have the basic support? Obviously, the basic support is lacking, but the SAP premium engagement, if you have chosen that one, then that's adequate. It's not, I would say it's not a great experience, but it's a good support. If you pay for it, you get what you need.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The way everything integrated well with everything else was most valuable. We had one solution for everything, from the first phone call down to follow-up visits for wholesale callers and for just regular purchases."
"This solution supports multiple branches."
"I like that it saves every transaction, so anything is traceable."
"For supply chain management, we are using WMS. When you go to public cloud, you get a full-fledged EWM."
"We like the web portal or interface, which is great; the user experience is much better than the current traditional SAP landscape, lots of business processes are simplified, there is less maintenance and less configuration effort needed, and more importantly, the performance is good."
"Since SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a SaaS application, it is already providing a lot of standard out-of-the-box features."
"It is stable and scalable, and in the S4HANA plain version, they have new dashboards and things like that."
"It is a straightforward solution."
"Makes it easier to reach and read data."
"SAP S_4HANA Cloud has OLTP and OLAP together in the same system."

Cons

"The solution doesn't have features to break down the structure for multiple people in the project."
"For support, we go through a distributor, and the support we receive from them is much better than what we would from Acumatica directly. When we went to Acumatica support directly, we were not happy with it."
"It is very expensive for a small business."
"We should be able to personalize it for the company. There should be more customization of the pages so that they seem more like a company rather than as an outside company. We should be able to change company images and things like that and do this kind of personalization."
"The scalability of SAP S/4HANNA is an area that could be improved."
"It's really difficult to install Hana. It's really difficult to reach any testing environment."
"It can be done within a few hours, but it also depends on the customer's requirements. If they want some changes, it may be done within one hour. But if there are large-scale changes, it may take one week or one month."
"In terms of S/4HANA Cloud itself, we don't like the rate they charge us. It's pretty expensive."
"Some areas that could improve with the SAP S_4HANA Cloud are related to the challenges of migrating data from legacy systems into SAP S_4HANA Cloud, which is labor-intensive and expensive."
"It is difficult to receive the correct answer from the support."
"The only thing I would improve is the overall user experience, particularly the mobile app."
"There is significant room for improvement in SAP's support, as getting answers from them can be challenging."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is very expensive for a small business. If you're a small business, it is not a very good solution in that aspect, but if you are big and have more manufacturing, it is well worth it. It comes with the ability to integrate with one website. We had to modify ours. We customized it so that we could do hundreds of websites. In Texas, I believe that we were the only one ever to be integrated with hundreds of websites. So, the development of our API probably cost us a hundred grand, and then there would be maintenance. That's all outside of the standard licensing fee."
"I don't remember the specifics about the licensing, but it's scaled and modular. You pay for what you use. It's not a one-size-fits-all license. You have a license for every single module. It's similar to Oracle."
"S/4HANA is an enterprise solution that many can't afford. You must invest a lot to get the most out of it. It isn't cheap. I rate the price seven out of 10."
"The solution is affordable."
"Its pricing is way over any of the other ERPs. I'd rate it one out of ten in terms of pricing."
"It's very expensive."
"SAP S/4 Hana isn't cheap, but its value depends on how much you can leverage from it. It's not just about the system but how well your people are trained to use it and adapt to derive benefits."
"The solution’s pricing is very high."
"The tool's pricing is reasonable."
