Data protection needs are supported through effective cybersecurity features
I have installed Acronis Cyber Cloud for file server backup. The second destination for the file server backup is Acronis Cloud Storage The features I find most effective for cybersecurity include reporting, vulnerability scanning, ransomware protection, and encryption. With these features,…

Delivers cost-effective data backup with room for search improvements
The challenges I face especially are those I've mentioned, that finding some specific data in N-able Cove Data Protection is not as easy as it is in some other systems. You cannot just search for something—you need to know where it was and when it was there to restore it, plus it would be nice to take out data from Microsoft 365 in some portable format, which is currently not an option. I would like to extract the data from Microsoft 365 in a portable format, something like a database or maybe just to take out a PST file or SharePoint and Teams files to the file system. Especially in these times, where we discuss potential risks with the Microsoft cloud for European companies, companies would want to know how to access their data from the backup if they suddenly don't have a tenant. I believe there should be the ability to take out data from Microsoft 365 in a portable format. I know that Cohesity is working on making such a thing. It's not there yet; I asked last week for something for forensics, and the support team said it's not possible yet, but I know from our technical account manager they are working on some solutions.

"The management of Acronis Cyber Cloud is straightforward due to its simplicity in configuration."
"The features I find most effective for cybersecurity include reporting, vulnerability scanning, ransomware protection, and encryption."
"The assurance that we are always protected and backed up is a significant benefit."
"I would rate the overall solution as ten out of ten."
"It is a highly scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"With Acronis Cyber Cloud, I can protect my backups and data from cyber threats."
"N-able Cove Data Protection is user-friendly and straightforward, and the dashboard is clear."
"One of the bigger features and advantages of the solution is that it is easy to integrate with my RMM which is also N-able."
"The initial setup of N-able Cove Data Protection was very easy."
"The most valuable feature of N-able Cove Data Protection is its ease of use."
"The ease of use and the console are great."
"The most valuables feature is the alerts and monitoring that catches the failed backups."
"The product is simple to use and manage. The customers have access to verify the backups."
"It provides a single dashboard for all types of data protection, we monitor everything through a single dashboard. It simplifies everything overall. It allows us to see everything, whether passing or failing any issues, any problems through a single pane of glass that we don't have to click through or adjust as we go forward."

Cons

"With respect to support, I feel that sometimes there is a delay."
"Support for legacy storage solutions, like tape, could be improved. Acronis Cyber Cloud only supports on-premises solutions, and I wish there were a way to implement this support with the cloud or have another backup location, other than the cloud, instead of tape."
"Sandboxing features would be beneficial."
"Pricing is still a little high, as other vendors offer better pricing."
"If there is any attack on the server, I would like to know whether the backup image will be in a healthy or unhealthy status. Sandboxing features would be beneficial."
"The interface could be improved, especially the cloud configuration, which currently has many tabs."
"Some improvement is needed in the speed when downloading data from the cloud backups, which requires more bandwidth."
"The recovery side, the restore side, could be a little more optimized."
"The one thing they don't are Linux servers, it's Windows only. I understand that directive. I have another product that I use for our Linux servers and stuff, but it would be nice if they had that flexibility on the Linux side. I understand the development and the world is geared towards Windows in 365, I know that's where the clienteles are and the business and the money is."
"A better default view on my dashboard would be great. There is a lot of useless information there that it pulls up. They could present the dashboard slightly better, in terms of the extra information after the first five columns. The first five columns are awesome. After that, I don't care about the rest, and there are another seven things after that."
"One area I don't like has to do with the agent that goes on the system... if a system stays offline for some length of time, say for a week or so, I may have to go back in and reinstall the agent to get it back in business. I don't know what's causing that."
"For small amounts of data, recovery is easy, but when it's large amounts of data, it takes forever. So, if they can have a service where they put our data on a hard drive and ship it to us as fast as possible, it would be great. Even if there's a fee associated with it, it's fine."
"We would like to have better reporting."
"There could be a possibility to create a local NAS backup for infrastructure."
"I have some issues with the agent failing on workstations. I've had to completely uninstall several of them, delete everything, and start over to get them to work."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The current price for the advanced version is approximately 35,000 Indian rupees."
"The cost is around ten dollars per workstation a month and that includes a certain amount of data."
"N-able Cove Data Protection is an averagely-priced product."
"I believe that the price is very reasonable in comparison to other options. It is cheaper than both Redstor and Acronis and, since we are now using our own on-premise cloud, there is absolutely no comparison since we have unlimited storage rather than paying per gigabyte used for their onsite storage. We are currently able to backup fifty computers for the same price that we use to backup five computers."
"The pricing, for now, is good. The package that they gave us recently is pretty good. It depends on how many clients you have, and you pay for certain terabytes per license. These terabytes, if not used, are pooled together."
"There is no per node cost, at least not the way I am doing it. I am on bulk. New customers can be set up on a trial, where they can get things all squared away, then they can switch over to being a billed customer."
"The price isn't extreme, but I'd love to pay less."
"When you have a device/appliance on the site quite a lot of the other enterprise class backup people insist that you have their appliance, which is frankly offensively expensive. Because when you pry the top off, it's just a standard 19-inch tin box with a standard Intel I5 in it, some RAM, and a hard drive. Then, you go, "Why have they just charged me 5,500 quid for a box, which I could have probably build for under 500." Whereas, with the SolarWinds product, they don't have that. The backup appliances that we have onsite are just plain cooking PCs. We can build our own machines, which is reflected in the price that we can offer a customer."
"The pricing is affordable. N-able Cove Data Protection has a direct-to-cloud architecture, but it also allows saving backups locally without extra storage costs."
