Integrated backup and AI-based protection have strengthened our cybersecurity and simplified patch management across diverse platforms
Apart from backing up your on-premises servers, Acronis Cyber Cloud allows you to back up cloud servers on Azure, AWS, and Google. It also backs up in Azure Storage, Azure Blob, and S3 bucket on AWS. You can back up Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and it supports virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, Nutanix, and Red Hat, and much more. Acronis Cyber Cloud supports a lot of platforms for backup. Acronis Cyber Cloud's API integration works fine, though I do not handle that part; my colleague handles the API integration. The ability to work with more platforms is important. My final rating for Acronis Cyber Cloud is eight.

The solution provides the ability to backup all types of cloud drives, is inexpensive, and has decent support
MSP360 Backup provides the backup functionality, but we need to provide the storage component. We can use Azure, AWS, or another provider, but we need to choose the storage provider and create a bucket to store our data. The vendor is making changes to improve the functionality of the service and the separation of storage, but I would like to see more integration and a knowledge base of the tool. Currently trying to understand why the storage is separated and how to implement the storage properly is a challenge. Using the solution incurs additional charges for the device storage and backup which are not included in the service. Unlike other solutions such as Kohl which includes everything at one price. MSP360 Backup can be improved by adding inclusive pricing.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I can expand on the fly by just adding space or the number of users."
"The features I find most effective for cybersecurity include reporting, vulnerability scanning, ransomware protection, and encryption."
"The assurance that we are always protected and backed up is a significant benefit."
"The anti-malware feature is AI-based and helps improve my cybersecurity posture with its AI-based multi-ware feature."
"With Acronis Cyber Cloud, I can protect my backups and data from cyber threats."
"The management of Acronis Cyber Cloud is straightforward due to its simplicity in configuration."
"I would rate the overall solution as ten out of ten."
"It is a highly scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"It has allowed me to implement a cost effective, highly configurable solution."
"I was mainly concerned with cloud backups, OneDrive backups, consumer OneDrive, business OneDrive, Google backups, and SharePoint backups. The solution did a good job of the backup."
"The initial setup is very easy. It's not overly complex."
"The best feature is that it's very user-friendly to do scheduled backups and version maintenance."
"The most valuable feature for me is that I can see what has has been successfully backed up and what not. I do not mean the file or folder view, because that's problematic with GDPR, but I mean which machines have successfully backed up. It's very valuable because you don't have to check the machines. The second feature is that you can change backup settings in the portal."
"The most valuable feature of MSP360 Backup is its reliability."
"Technical support is very good."
"General ease of use and performance of the Windows version is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"I would give the pricing for Acronis Cyber Cloud a five. It could be a bit cheaper."
"The interface could be improved, especially the cloud configuration, which currently has many tabs."
"With respect to support, I feel that sometimes there is a delay."
"Sandboxing features would be beneficial."
"Support for legacy storage solutions, like tape, could be improved. Acronis Cyber Cloud only supports on-premises solutions, and I wish there were a way to implement this support with the cloud or have another backup location, other than the cloud, instead of tape."
"Some improvement is needed in the speed when downloading data from the cloud backups, which requires more bandwidth."
"Pricing is still a little high, as other vendors offer better pricing."
"If there is any attack on the server, I would like to know whether the backup image will be in a healthy or unhealthy status. Sandboxing features would be beneficial."
"The graphics are looking a bit old and should be updated."
"Maybe implement an easier interface for basic users. For example, a set-up wizard with all the commonly used features as default."
"The restore time could improve. When we had an issue the restore time was lengthy."
"The initial setup is a little complex as it has to be done in the office and requires someone to come in and install the solution on your server, then configure the scheduling, backup pushing, and so on."
"There are some things that we don't like about it. That is why I was exploring alternatives in a hyper-scale environment. That is why I was checking IT Central Station."
"The interface feels like it is targeted for end users who typically are looking for an all-in-one integrated push button solution. It would be better if the interface had a beginner mode and an expert mode."
"As for what can be improved, some reports could be simplified so that you know how much backup you have done and what your backup details are. That report is available but it is very tough to get. I would like to know "today I have just uploaded 35 MB, tomorrow I have loaded 10 MB so my trend of backup is increasing.""
"The main improvement is that it should have GDPR compliance. That's the problematic point. They say they are GDPR compliant, but they are not."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The current price for the advanced version is approximately 35,000 Indian rupees."
"The cost is pretty inexpensive. Around four to five dollars per device, per workstation on each server."
"Its pricing needs improvement."
"MSP360 is vastly cheaper than its competitors and has almost all the same features."
"It includes a standard licensing fee. Once a year, there is a rebranding fee. The licensing costs are available on the internet for MSP360 Backup. There is a discount structure where if you have over 50 devices, you get a 50% discount. So, my cost is $2 a license per month."
"We have a very good return on investment."
"The solution is expensive."
"It provides a good cost savings compared to our previous cloud backup."
"I rate the price of MSP360 Backup a seven out of ten."
