Spirent CyberFlood [EOL] Reviews

I have been using the solution for a year now. The customers I work with are focused on both custom test assurance and test automation. The solution is utilized in the financial services sector and the public sector.

The main feature of the solution is testing compliance and products. This is a major aspect of the solution and it performs excellently. The testing compliance feature is particularly impressive.

The user interface could be improved to facilitate easier navigation. The most significant issue I encounter with the solution is the user interface. It would be beneficial if I could remain on one screen most of the time. Even if the system navigates me to another screen, it should effectively return me to the main screen.

I have been using the solution for a year now.

The solution is very stable. I rate the stability at nine out of ten. It is indeed very stable.

The solution is highly scalable. I would rate its scalability as eight out of ten.

The primary support comes from the US or Dubai. Often, I face challenges with time differences, which is a significant problem. Spirent should consider establishing a presence in South Africa to better understand the local context. Additionally, having support personnel who comprehend the local language plays an important role.

The initial setup is not straightforward and can be quite challenging. I would rate it as four out of ten.

There are Spartan competitors in the market. The pricing of this solution is competitive. Pricing is not an issue for me.

The language barrier and time difference pose significant issues with customer support. The price is competitive. The biggest benefits I find are test assurance, the reliability of the test results, and the speed to market. 

I give the solution an overall rating of eight out of ten. My customers range from medium to large.

I use CyberFlood to generate SSL traffic for cybersecurity testing.

CyberFlood is flexible. 

Sometimes, when you configure parameters the hardware can't run, it will get stuck at those points without telling you what happened. It would be helpful if the error reporting provided more details about why the test setting is not running. It would be nice if there were a space in the hardware module for you to add some external hardware for more rigorous testing.

I have used CyberFlood for two to three years.

I rate CyberFlood six out of 10 for stability.

I rate CyberFlood five out of 10 for scalability. The scalability is limited.

I rate Spirent support seven out of 10.

I didn't find the setup to be too complex. It took some learning, but it wasn't too difficult. 

CyberFlood gives us clear numbers for SSL testing.

CyberFlood was expensive when I purchased it. 

I rate Spirent CyberFlood seven out of 10. I recommend knowing your parameters and how much traffic you plan to test, so you get an idea of what the device is capable of.

We use Spirent CyberFlood for small, medium, and enterprise customers. But, we are now focusing more on large enterprise customers. We use both public and private clouds. Our customers mostly use CyberFlood to test their network security. 

Our customers use it to check for unauthorized file transfer. Our customers are also very fascinated with the call flow function of CyberFlood. It is a very strong feature to help minimize network monitoring jobs.

It would be helpful to have other languages available. I would also like to see updates on a more frequent schedule.

We have been working with Spirent CyberFlood for a couple of months now.

CyberFlood is very stable.

CyberFlood is easily scalable.

The strong thing about Spirent is they have a local team that has an engineer and a sales team to support.

CyberFlood is not a difficult product to learn so the setup was pretty straightforward. We have an IT manager that handled the setup.

CyberFlood is easy to sell and easy to use. If any customer doubts their existing network security policy this is a perfect product to analyze their network security and even existing processes. I would rate Spirent CyberFlood at a nine on a scale of ten.

I primarily use the solution to test devices.

The feature I find most valuable is the traffic generator.

The solution needs more ports, more speed, and more gigabytes.

The solution is very scalable. I do have plans in the future to increase use.

Technical support is good.

I didn't use a previous solution.

I have 10 years of experience, so the initial setup is easy for me. Deployment times vary, depending on the company. You only need one person for maintenance.

We used a Spirent distributor in Moscow, a consultant, to assist with implementation.

I haven't seen any ROI yet.

I didn't evaluate any other solutions before choosing Spirent.

It's good equipment. I would rate this solution 10 out of 10.

CyberFlood's best features are its user-friendliness and scheduling function.

CyberFlood's accessibility and support for multiple browsers could be better. In the next release, CyberFlood should include more pre-cover for new protocols and applications.

I've been using Spirent CyberFlood for over three years.

CyberFlood is stable.

CyberFlood's scalability is limited.

Spirent's technical support is good both online and offline.

CyberFlood is reasonably priced.

CyberFlood is bundled and basic, but it's still powerful and easy to use, and I would recommend it, especially for beginners. I would rate CyberFlood nine out of ten.
