What is our primary use case?

I am not a user of Pure Storage Evergreen One. I manage this brand in a technology company to distribute the product. I am working in a reseller business for different vendors, including Pure Storage.

What is most valuable?

Pure Storage Evergreen One is a high-end, scalable, and fast storage solution. It is used primarily in the financial industry where low latency and fast transactions are critical. Its architecture allows long-term use, with features like the ability to upgrade CPUs or add disks without downtime, which is beneficial for companies requiring tech refreshes.

Has snapshot features and offers a clear understanding of their storage usage and capacity

Pros

"We have snapshots. We put snapshots on disks, and we can save information. In the case of ransomware, everything is in the snapshot. We have a snapshot lock on it, so it's safe."

Cons

"It would be nice to have support in Swedish."

What is our primary use case?

It's primarily for virtual machines as our primary storage.

How has it helped my organization?

The main thing is that if there's an issue, Pure Storage checks it in the background before we even notice. That's one of the main reasons we use Pure Storage because there could be some issues, but they work on it remotely right away.

Benefits of data reduction technology:

All the virtual servers we have are seeing high data reduction. Because of that, we don't need as much hardware to run a lot of virtual machines on a very small footprint. We have a high compression rate, or DPU. 

But we also have some special data that can't be compressed, which skews our numbers. We still have good numbers if we exclude that data, and we knew that from the beginning, so it's not an issue. It's just not giving us the best numbers possible.

We are using it in-house for our data center to run all of our VMware environment and our VDI environment on. Infrastructure consumption, as well as short-term and long-term storage, is included.

What is most valuable?

The speed of the product is quite a bit better in performance than the previous environment we were running on, and it seems to have a better feature set.

A simple to use application with easy installation and plug-and-play

Pros

"The Evergreen program is excellent, and the pricing is quite reasonable. My friends who work there are doing very well and consistently achieving strong results. Like any company, they experience occasional downturns but perform impressively overall."

"The only potential drawback is that Pure Storage might be overkill if you don't need microsecond response times."

What is our primary use case?

If I didn't go with IBM, I'd choose Pure Storage ninety-nine percent of the time. Their storage solutions are the best, and they are also very simple to use. All the APIs work seamlessly and are compatible with every server and other product. Their performance is so fast, and their systems are so easy to use that they can be more than you might need. I've even installed it myself.

What is most valuable?

The Evergreen program is excellent, and the pricing is quite reasonable. My friends who work there are doing very well and consistently achieving strong results. Like any company, they experience occasional downturns but perform impressively overall.
