It used to be the ability to autoscale based on load.
I was able to to deal with requests without needing every server on; I could turn them off.
Compatibility with SoftLayer I think was our block. Rackspace was fine, as far as I know.

Setup was fine. An initial setup was relatively easy. We had trouble migrating/importing though, so we had to create everything from scratch.
As it is GPL (as far as I know?) I would highly recommend it.
We found no other suitable looking, easy-to-use solutions. APIs were complex.
Install it on your own server, as we did. This helped us internalise
for privacy needs.
