What needs improvement?
The data load and the configuration of the front end was not very easy. One of the main issues was that the SAS macros used by SAS SPM, as well as the underlying MySQL database was a bit of a "black box" solution in terms of maintenance.

For how long have I used the solution?
I've used it for one and a half years.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
Yes, the unique keys in the underlying MySQL database caused some issues on loading/updating of the data.
How are customer service and support?
South Africa does not have enough people experienced in SPM to give proper support in terms of maintenance and enhancement.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
This replaced an in-house SAS-based database.
What about the implementation team?
It was developed by an in-house team supported by contractors.
What other advice do I have?
For monthly load and support, you need to invest in an experienced ETL person, especially when using SAS DI Studio for the loading.
