Room For Improvement

ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management needs upgrades in usability, cost efficiency, integration, setup simplicity, and real-time reporting performance.
Trello struggles with integration, pricing, and performance, needing better onboarding, notifications, customization, and AI-driven enhancements for users.
The integration of artificial intelligence is something my customer is considering for future upgrades.
It's not that the product lacks features, but rather organizations often adopt it at a maturity level beyond their capacity.
Making the product more cost-beneficial would help more organizations consider investing in it.
More control over email notifications would also be helpful.
It would be beneficial to have a search system that can pull up topics using keywords or AI-driven capabilities, making it easier to find relevant cards.
Currently, notifications flood my inbox, making it hard to differentiate what I actually need to open.

Setup Cost

Trello offers flexible and scalable pricing, appealing to budget-conscious enterprises and startups with competitive rates and a valuable free version.
If a company is prepared to get a return on the investment, the price is worth it.
The pricing is rated six, as it's relatively low-medium compared to other solutions.
It's a bit costly currently.

Valuable Features

Aligning the portfolio with overall strategy and goals is essential for success.
The most valuable features include managing our portfolio, getting a grip on demand in the environment, and making informed decisions about which projects would provide the greatest return.
It replaces ping-ponging emails back and forth with a board where people can follow a task from start to finish and see when it's done.
Trello's interface is aesthetically pleasing for project management, and it enhances collaboration with other team members.
The ability to tag different team members in both the description and the comments, and the due dates feature are handy.

Strategies and goals are aligned with demands and partners, making it a strategic approach for the enterprise but the finance part needs improvement
SPM is definitely strong for project management, but its finance capabilities are not as robust. While there is a separate Financial Management product, it would be beneficial to have more out-of-the-box support for finance integrations within SPM. I’m not suggesting replacing systems like SAP for finance, but there should be better support for financial integrations. Currently, connecting to SaaS solutions is complicated, and getting into detailed financial calculations is challenging. Forecasting is manageable, but handling actual financials is not as straightforward. The finance area needs improvement, specifically making finance application integrations easier. Generic finance capabilities should be more user-friendly and integrated into SPM. Although they have started this journey, it hasn’t been fully released yet. There seems to be a roadmap, and once complete, it will be very useful. Additionally, incorporating a Q&A feature for entire strategies or project demands and enhancing text analytics within SPM would be beneficial.

Offers not just a free version but also a mobile version that is easy to use
The product has features to support project management workflows and team collaborations. I was using a free version for my personal use and for managing my private activities, and both times, I saw that the tool did the job. I used Trello's board and card system of training with Kanban task management format to handle work in progress and to see whether it has already been completed. I would say that the tool was decent in the aforementioned area. I used the product's mobile version and the handheld device version, and I can say that it was easy to use. In general, the tool's app was quite easy to use. It is definitely a product which is quite highly rated by others. The mobile application functionality affected my productivity in a good way. It is quite good because, if I remember correctly, I could set some reminders for pending tasks. The tool did improve my productivity. The tool did help me deal with my personal backlog and to-do activities. As a beginner-level user, I found the tool very helpful and intuitive. From my friends, I came to know that it is an application that can be used in a wide enterprise setup. If you have an option, you can try it. I rate the overall tool a nine to ten out of ten.
