It integrates well with other platforms, is user-friendly, and is stable
SentinelOne Singularity Complete integrates with our other security solutions, correlating data from NDR, ADR, SIEM, and XDR tools. All this information is consolidated within SentinelOne, providing a centralized access point. SentinelOne Singularity Complete has helped us streamline our security operations by consolidating multiple solutions into a single platform. We are currently in the process of acquiring a threat intelligence platform to complete our security stack. We use Ranger to monitor our network and track connected devices. This is crucial because it helps us quickly identify unauthorized machines connected to our infrastructure, including personal devices. We have additional security measures in place, but Ranger provides an extra layer of protection. It also alerts us if the SentinelOne Singularity Complete agent is missing from any new or existing machines, allowing us to take appropriate action. SentinelOne Ranger's agentless and hardware-independent nature is crucial for our environment with 26,000 endpoints, as manual management of such a large number would be extremely challenging. Ranger uses a multi-layered approach to prevent vulnerable devices from being compromised. We employ scanners, network configurations, and a risk scanner to assess devices, endpoints, servers, and cloud infrastructures. Vulnerability reports and timelines for remediation are shared with device owners or custodians. This proactive strategy enables us to address vulnerabilities efficiently and secure our infrastructure. SentinelOne Singularity Complete has significantly enhanced our security posture. While no system is impenetrable, this solution has brought us closer to achieving a high level of protection, ensuring we maintain at least a 90 percent security level. Our team is dedicated to refining alerts and eliminating false positives from our solutions. Additionally, a team is responsible for identifying and excluding alerts from the solution. We can manually expedite this process by reviewing these elements and utilizing our security tools. We have been able to reduce the alert volume by 20 percent. Our 30-member Security Operations Center team has been able to redirect their focus to other tasks due to the time saved after implementing SentinelOne Singularity Complete. SentinelOne Singularity Complete has helped us improve our mean time to detect threats, which we accomplish using the Vigilance service for detection and response. SentinelOne Singularity Complete has helped us decrease our organizational risk. We utilize the Security Scorecard to manage our security posture, which has remained steady at 90 percent.

Easy to use and competitively priced
Honestly, the product needs to continue the way it is, and I feel that everything will be fine. I haven't had any reasons to complain about the product. The product doesn’t offer MDM functionality under its current licensing model. In the future, I want the product to offer MDM. It can allow me to manage my mobile device more efficiently and effectively. Currently, there is a need for a separate license to be added to Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response to be able to use the MDM part. If both are bundled up under the same license, the administration part can be made easier.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of SentinelOne is the EDR functionality. We are protected against threats, such as ransomware."
"It's effectively helped to reduce organizational risk."
"SentinelOne Singularity Complete has a valuable feature that allows us to install the agent on every endpoint and extract all asset information for reporting purposes in our live inventory."
"All of the features are valuable. The way that it integrates into management with fault correction capabilities over is especially valuable. Any of the full gamut of the features that it provides are useful to us."
"SentinelOne is very simple to install and very simple to manage. It's very aggressive, so it does protection well, and it seems to be stopping attacks that other solutions cannot."
"The solution is easy to set up."
"The management dashboard is the most valuable feature."
"The most valuable features of SentinelOne are the lateral movement and the use of the Active Directory."
"The security is good."
"IPS and the user interface are good features."
"It is mostly used for malware detection and antivirus purposes."
"The most valuable features of the solution are that it is easy to use and has good support."
"I've mainly found the antivirus and antispyware features valuable. The documentation is okay as well."
"The setup is quite easy."
"I like Symantec EDR's device control and USB security features."
"There are times when Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response tags an executable as malicious when it is trying to get executed on the machine. In this case, it prevents the execution and it gives you a process view of things where you can look into what has happened and whether it is a genuine process trying to access some system activities, or it's a malicious one. Depending upon the process, it gives you a clear identification, and we can do the containment from the interface itself and isolate the machine from the network. The process review on network isolation is good."

Cons

"If there is a vulnerability that we know about, I search for that vulnerability—for example, Adobe. There are different versions of Adobe, but I'm not able to compile them into one report. I have to create separate reports for those versions."
"We ran into production issues related to CPU utilization on Linux endpoints. Our production environment's performance got degraded like anything."
"I would like to see a better control panel for the managed service side of it."
"One way to improve and get additional benefits would be for SentinelOne to host the updated installer files for us, rather than us having to download and host them ourselves."
"Deployment strategy for large organizations that do not use active directory (AD)."
"Security could always be better."
"Using the filters takes a little bit of time to get to used to."
"It would help if they could get all the relevant threat information, the related events, in one place. Currently, we need to go to a number of places and do research. If they could have it all in one place, that would help investigations."
"A significant deterioration in customer support."
"I think we have experienced some technical issues because the company focuses mainly on bigger clients. Also, sometimes the solution fails to detect zero-day attacks, so that feature needs some enhancement because it is lacking compared to other solutions."
"It would be beneficial to have more integration and compatibility with other platforms."
"The network forensics feature could be improved."
"It should be easier to deploy Symantec's client for end-users."
"That's why I wouldn't recommend it for other systems. It works only with SAP clients. That's why I'm giving it a six. It would get higher if it worked on all networks without the help of SAP."
"It would be nice to see more granular timeline analysis."
"The Symantec portfolio is not big enough to cover the organization in all 360 degrees."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We pay $30,000 a year for 275 endpoints. We're growing, so I plan to buy another 75 endpoints. There is still a year and a half left in my three-year subscription, so I'm going to increase my endpoint count by 30 percent."
"SentinelOne Singularity Complete can be expensive for the SMB market but is suitable for enterprise-level organizations."
"The solution's price/performance ratio is reasonable."
"The license is per user."
"You have to look at the kinds of problems you can end up with and the fact that you want security against them, and then SentinelOne is not expensive."
"The license is paid annually and is competitive."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"We buy the licensing in bulk. From a pricing standpoint, because we buy in bulk, we get very good pricing. Based on its functionality and capabilities, it is well worth the price. I do not think it is at all expensive based on what you get in the solution. We use the complete up to the core. Our pricing is probably a little bit more than somebody who is on the core. In general, it is well worth what you get for the price you pay."
"Of late, because of the Broadcom purchase, its price has been increasing."
"The more devices we have the more expensive it becomes, which is where the challenge is."
"The price is reasonable."
"The product is cheap."
"Compared to the tools of competitors, Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response is a cheaply priced product."
"We have a yearly subscription, and the pricing is fair."
"We pay around $100,000 for 5000 licenses every year."
"The price is okay, but it really depends on the customer's requirements."
