A competitive solution that improves collaboration and productivity
Slack has been around for a long time, and it's an industry leader. Of course, Salesforce owns Slack now and is starting to integrate into it. I have attended Slack conferences and met with product and support managers. They're an excellent organization. Choosing Slack depends on the organization's size, so you need to plan your deployment and make sure you put some controls and standards in place and not just turn it on. If you're a Slack shop, you will have to have something like a Zoom or Microsoft Teams platform for when you need to do video conferencing internally or externally. Many shops have both products, but they use Slack for collaboration, chat, and so on, and use Teams for video and audio conferences. At the end of the day, Slack is missing those capabilities, so either you're going to be a Slack/Zoom shop or you're going to be a Microsoft Teams shop. I rate Slack an eight out of ten.

"There are many useful features with Sendbird."
"Features similar to WhatsApp, such as online and offline statuses, message reactions, and replies, add significant value."
"Sendbird is reliable and generally crash-free."
"Sendbird provides many features for real-time messaging, such as receipt ID and typing indicators."
"Sendbird is very flexible, and they have made great strides towards optimization."
"The most valuable feature for us, besides chat, was file transfer, as we used it for sending files and images in chats."
"The Sendbird developer portal provides each step, including methods, making it easy to implement."
"The product is easy to use."
"Slack is a really easy collaboration tool to use and many companies are adopting this popular tool."
"The solution is scalable."
"It has definitively made an improvement on our productivity. Information does not got lost in hundreds of less important messages."
"I like Slack's notifications. It is more user-friendly and pleasing than Teams."
"The most valuable features are video conferencing and sharing content during meetings."
"We use Slack for general communication, conference calls, and sharing screens because we have people working from different countries."
"The integration with Google Calendar is easy to use and allows us to receive notifications before meetings."

Cons

"Impersonating a user or using a template user to send messages for development purposes would be very useful."
"Their pricing is very high compared to competitors, which is a concern for us."
"At times, there are unexpected behaviors where the documentation suggests something different from how the SDK actually behaves, requiring us to create workarounds."
"I thought that there should be the audio and the video call functionality as well."
"The documentation for integrating with the Flutter framework is lacking detailed information."
"A major issue was the requirement for a separate connection to Sendbird, resulting in a delay when initiating the chat."
"The documentation for integrating with the Flutter framework is lacking detailed information. Initially, I struggled to connect users and manage tokens for active and offline sessions, which caused frustration."
"More analytics tools could be integrated into Sendbird."
"I want a feature in the solution that will help me share documents only with the set of people that I prefer rather than all of them. I would also like the solution to have a feature similar to Microsoft SharePoint where you can group all your documents."
"The tool should be able to fetch a conversation when we search for it even if it is in the thread."
"The UI could be a little bit better."
"Slack's channel and chat management could be more intuitive."
"The solution's user interface is not very good and changes very often."
"We’d like it to have more capability for everyone to work on one doc in real time all at once."
"We could see improvement in Slack by having an integrated meeting tool. Currently, we rely on third-party integration tools like Zoom to schedule meetings. It would be much more convenient to schedule meetings directly within Slack without additional integrations. It needs to have calendar and CRM integrations as well."
"I would like the in-meeting content sharing facility to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is a starter plan for $399 per month, and a pro plan for $799 dollars."
"The solution’s pricing is cheap."
"Slack is definitely worth the money."
"The pricing can range up to about twenty bucks a user. You can spend a lot of money, especially if you're talking about thousands of users. Generally speaking, Slack is less expensive than Teams. Slack doesn't include all the bells and whistles that Teams does. So you can go from a $6 license in Microsoft 365 to a $50 license per user per month, and there's a lot more you can do in the $50 license."
"It is an affordable solution."
"When it comes to pricing, it is on the expensive side."
"It is an expensive tool. We pay 15 to 20 USD monthly per user."
"We use the free version that does not have a license."
"The tool's pricing could be cheaper."
