Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Quick threat response and behavior analysis while enhancing network security
The main use case is usually related to security. It deals with attacks that come day-to-day such as zero-day attacks and APT attacks. Our main task is to secure the network infrastructure in the hospital where I work It facilitates the departments of IT and other departments to procure and…

There is one significant issue with WithSecure Elements Endpoint Detection and Response. For computers with limited RAM, such as 16 gigabytes, the software is not optimal as it requires between four to six gigabytes of RAM to run. I don't use the Threat Intelligence feature from WithSecure Elements Endpoint Detection and Response as it requires extra activation, which I have not implemented.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product is mostly automated, and we do not have to make decisions, because all the decisions are made by the product itself and we are not required to create any custom policies since the policies that are created are well defined in the product itself."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the user interface."
"After installing this solution, it identified, blocked, and provided the complete attack chain, which was very helpful."
"We've had a significant increase in blocking with a decrease in false positives, because it's looking at how the files work, not just a list of files that it's been told to look for."
"We use it for malicious connections from malicious websites, to identify payloads that might be inside the traffic, to identify malicious processes or bugs that are running on the network, and any activities that tend to lead to data infiltration."
"The tool is easy to use."
"The initial setup isn't too bad."
"The anti-exploit is impenetrable."
"The real-time monitoring feature of Sangfor Endpoint Secure is truly real-time, with no delay compared to other solutions."
"We use the product for network protection from any malicious threat."
"It has a quick response time, threat intelligence, cybersecurity features, quick report generation, behavior analysis, dynamic detection, and quarantine features."
"The tool's most valuable features are control access, endpoint security, and load balancing of ISPs."
"The most valuable feature I have found in the system is its comprehensive end-to-end protection."
"I like the tool's honeypot feature. Some features include having a honeypot to detect attacks in a certain area. Additionally, there is RDP protection, which means that when we remote into our server or any endpoint, we must enter a password as a second layer of security. It can also integrate with next-generation firewalls."
"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward."
"What stands out to me is the dual-end user interface they provide."
"The only issue that we have today is with false positives. We have too many false positives with the solution."
"I use the solution to protect our infrastructure. The tool has special frames for banking. There is an additional secure filter for banking-related pages. It protects me from viruses, malware, and attacks."
"It is a scalable solution."
"It offers good scalability."
"The integration and user interface of WithSecure Elements Endpoint Detection and Response are effective, with a comprehensive dashboard that allows users to quickly identify and address problems, add computers, and send system updates."
"WithSecure includes an encrypted drive that stores a key for accessing the encrypted data."
"The product is stable."
"We've been very pleased with its capabilities."

Cons

"They are charging for Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA) services, so if the per GB data could be provided at a certain level free of cost or at the same cost which the customer is taking for the entire bundle, that would be better."
"Currently, we are monitoring all USB drives and ports but we would like to improve our device control capabilities."
"The server sometimes stops continuously to check things so it would be helpful to receive access updates or technical reasons."
"The dashboard could use some significant improvement, just making it more useful with more information. It has a limited amount of information right now. It is customizable, but I'd love to see a better out-of-box dashboard."
"If you compare it to SentinelOne, which has more functionalities and detection capabilities on an open platform, the pricing on SentinelOne is far more reasonable and cheaper than Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks."
"For Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks, if I had to point out improvements, I would say the UI is still somewhat difficult for beginners."
"This product has not improved my organization - in fact, we are in the process of moving back to another product as a result of Cortex's horrible impact on system performance."
"Dashboards do not allow everyone to see what's happening."
"There are a few areas for improvement. We have encountered licensing issues on occasion, and sometimes updates don't apply properly."
"The interface has too many buttons, making it cluttered."
"I believe Sangfor Endpoint Secure could improve in terms of its user interface and management capabilities."
"Currently, the tool lacks reporting functionalities."
"Sangfor Endpoint Secure should include healing capabilities."

"Sometimes, the VPN is not secure and doesn't work properly in Sangfor Endpoint Secure."
"It is complicated to establish a tunnel due to technical issues in the VPN system."
"The monthly reporting feature of WithSecure can be improved."
"The tool’s mobile version needs to be improved."
"The website rules are too complicated."
"Its automated functionality could be better."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."
"There is one significant issue with WithSecure Elements Endpoint Detection and Response: for computers with limited RAM, such as 16 gigabytes, the software is not optimal as it requires between four to six gigabytes of RAM to run."
