Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like that we have many scanners and channels that don't overload. It helps us scan and track easily. Also, the tagging system is good for tagging. We can still use QualysAgent task ID tools even if tags aren't made.""Qualys VM had a recent upgrade and the newer version is supporting the cloud.""Tech support is helpful.""They also have threat detection which maps threats. There is a feed that comes from Qualys when a new vulnerability is found. It tells us which machines are infected with that vulnerability.""It's very configurable to adjust impact to systems.""The features that are most valuable are the identification, scan features, and the identification of vulnerabilities.""Performs automated, regular scans in the network.""Intuitive and easy to use."

"Feature-wise, Tenable Security Center is a very fast tool with many dashboards and reports, and it covers all our systems.""Compared to other products, the most valuable features of the solution are its ease of use and ability to provide visibility over scan results while providing many templates to users, making it a helpful tool.""Tenable also helps us to focus resources on the vulnerabilities that are most likely to be exploited. And since it is continuously updated, it allows us to reevaluate quickly if there are new vulnerabilities found...""Tenable.sc's best features are the availability model, accident management, and scoring.""The usability is really good. It's very easy to use and a good platform. It is scalable and very stable. The technical support is fine and the setup is super easy.""The most valuable features of Tenable SC are scanning, reporting, dashboards, and automation.""I find Tenable SC to be a very scalable product.""This product has the best results in terms of the lowest number of false-positives and false-negatives."

Cons
"There's a need to upgrade or fix the potential vulnerability rate. Around 20,000 potential vulnerabilities were showing in Qualys VMDR, but none of the other tools showed them. When we checked, it wasn't the case. Support explained that even small issues were being counted as vulnerabilities, causing issues in our audit. So, the security features could be improved to identify vulnerabilities accurately.""There seems to be a lack of easy onboarding into Qualys.""The customer support is very bad.""When tested on Zero day, there were errors.""Qualys could improve the inbuilt dashboards.""Qualys VM's scanner doesn't pick up every vulnerability, so we have to use multiple scanners to cover that gap.""It would be nice to have an all-in-one solution that was automated and could handle the scanning and reports as well as the patching and updating.""Qualys VMDR is basically susceptible to false positives, and false negatives."

More Qualys VMDR Cons →

"We experienced some difficulties with the solution’s support.""The vulnerability scan does not work correctly until the access privileges are set by the system administrator.""There's a lot of information being streamed out of the reports. What would be nice, and maybe we just haven't found it, would be more of an executive-type view. We still expect it to collect all this information, but we would like a feature that would allow us to show it to an executive or a director or someone like that and give them some type of high-level overview but not get into the nitty-gritty.""For downloading reports, we have to go to the scan and then we have to go to the reports and download the Excel or CSV or PDF. I think these menus and clicks can be minimized.""In terms of configuration, there is some level of flexibility that we are not able to achieve.""The solution's user interface has some issues.""The integration is very good, although it still needs to improve.""We would like to see the inclusion of external IPs and simplified reporting that's easier to deal with"
