The self-service helps increase employee loyalty
The reporting could use some improvement. It doesn't shorten the data that it displays to the employee. At the moment you have to scroll through all of the results in order to find what you are looking for. Another improvement that should be implemented in the next release is the appraisal. For the appraisal model, we have to go to another solution because the one included is not supporting us in our needs.

We don't currently need third-party solutions because Red Hat provides security through RH-ACM. This Red Hat product helps us identify vulnerabilities in Pods, YAML files, and other components. When we encounter vulnerability issues, we raise tickets, implement Red Hat's solutions, and close the tickets. OpenShift is predominantly implemented in banking sectors. Banking sectors require Enterprise edition platforms due to RBI guidelines. While small-scale industries might use Kubernetes on AWS platform, major banks such as SBI and Central Bank of India prefer OpenShift for its Enterprise edition status and comprehensive support from Red Hat. IPI setup is straightforward, but air gap environment setup is more challenging as it requires configuring HAProxy, DNS, manual DNS server, creating ignition files, downloading images, and creating separate repositories. Regarding competition, based on my knowledge, OpenShift has limited competitors apart from Red Hat. IBM has acquired Red Hat for OpenShift, and they run OpenShift on their Linux platform, making IBM the primary competitor. This product deserves a rating of 10 out of 10.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This solution increases the employees' loyalty to the organization since everything regarding their salary, health, insurance, etc. is there, and the employees can also check to see what activity is done on their files."
"Core HR data management for employee and organizational data is very stable and flexible."
"SAP HCM is a scalable product."
"The master data where most of the reports were run from was the most valuable, and we were quite satisfied with this module."
"I feel SAP HCM is very competitive and worth the investment given its capability to integrate modules and provide comprehensive value."
"They have some interesting features in the learning space."
"It simplifies everything for human capital management, and all users can do self-enrollment for leaves and those kinds of things. The employee self-service feature is quite a powerful feature for me. You can install it on your mobile phone or iPad and do your employee service activity there."
"We've found that the solution has the capability to scale."
"The payroll and time management features are useful."

Cons

"The reporting could use some improvement."
"This solution needs to be more configurable and user-friendly."
"SAP HCM needs to be more customizable to fit unique organizational processes."
"A better user interface and greater AI integration are crucial."
"The extensibility of the integration could be improved."
"SAP is not ready to sell the license on time and delays the progress of projects. It's better to work with a competitor like Oracle. Those that are selling the product just go through powerpoints and don't have the knowledge necessary to sell. They can't answer any questions."
"SAP HCM's long and tedious transactions can be improved."
"I would say the speed of SAP HCM tool might need some optimization."
"Managing changes in applications can be challenging since it complicates testing and unit testing, resulting in longer testing phases. This time-consuming process often leaves little room for actual work."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"SAP is extremely expensive. The integration costs and customization costs are also a lot."
"The solution is cheap."
"The pricing is not reasonable at all."
"The pricing is around the middle, at a five out of ten. But it depends on the number of licenses. More licenses mean lower per-user costs. You need to understand how to play the volume game and the growth."
"For implementation, SAP offers little support unless you buy SAP Safeguarding from SAP Consulting."
"Be careful and guard against future changes in licensing."
"You pay per license. There not any costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"The cost depends on the size of the organization. Compared to others, I'd say Oracle is number one, followed by Workday and SAP HCM."
