We have such a high volume of social posts that we make, which makes Sprout Social essential for organizing and keeping everything organized on our content calendar. We would not be able to do it without Sprout Social, and it is very easy to use; the user interface is very friendly and intuitive. Multiple people in our public affairs division at the Mississippi Department of Transportation use it, and it is super useful, so we do not plan on switching. The best features Sprout Social offers include its user interface, which is very easy to use. The service does a lot in terms of social media management, and it is easy to pick up to schedule social posts and keep them organized. The AI functionality that helps with accessibility by adding alt text is one of the coolest things about it, and building custom reports for social media analytics is very easy; instead of going into the platform natively for data, you can create custom reports and analyze your social media program easily. The custom reports feature has helped our team significantly because we used to manually pull information, such as reach and engagement for our social media platforms by exporting Excel documents. Now, we can set up a report for each platform with metrics such as reach and engagement rate, and it automatically sends you that report monthly. This allows us to analyze what type of content works best and adapt our social media strategy accordingly. The AI functionality within Sprout Social that I regularly use is creating alt text, which is very accurate and requires minimal editing. This feature is particularly useful with upcoming ADA requirements for accessibility, making our posts more accessible. The AI that generates this alt text is a huge time saver, especially for social media posts that involve many graphics requiring alt text. Sprout Social positively impacts our organization by enabling us to manage a high volume of social media posts efficiently. Managing those posts manually on various platforms would not be possible with the number of people we have. It is a big time efficiency tool that brings everything together and boosts workflow here at MDOT. I estimate that Sprout Social saves our team around 20 hours each week or month compared to doing things manually.
