We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features of Okta Workforce Identity are SSO, MFA, and beneficial feature sets.""It is dependent on the evolution of your user base. It depends on usage per user, so the more sign-ins there are, the more expensive it becomes, so it works best for smaller companies from a financial perspective.""The initial setup is easy.""A solution that's easy to use, stable, and reliable.""It's easy to use and straightforward.""The product requires very little maintenance.""What I found most valuable in Okta Workforce Identity is that it worked together with VMware Workspace One, so there was this device check at the same time. My company used the trusted device method that enabled you to define that only the trusted devices including the Workspace One agent were able to access the applications directly without an additional authentication step.""One of the features that I have found to be very valuable is its interoperability and compatibility with all types of resources, whether it's networking, infrastructure, or applications. That is, it is compatible as well as interoperable, as far as the federated authentication is concerned."

"It offers a single source of truth. Everything can be handled from one tier.""This solution is great for providing control access across your environment.""It is simple and easy to implement.""Deployment takes a bit of time, however, once it's done properly, everything becomes very organized and easy to use.""SailPoint has allowed us to ensure the right people have the right access and to the rights things.""SailPoint IdentityIQ has more enriched out-of-box connectors than the others.""The basic concept is most valuable. I like how they have designed the solution. They create an Identity Cube, and then they do all the processes and configuration around the Identity Cube.""The initial setup isn't so difficult."

Cons
"The solution can be quite expensive.""A room for improvement in Okta Workforce Identity is its price. It could be cheaper. The biggest benefit of the solution is that everything works securely without extra steps, so you're saving on your workforce's time and effort because your applications work smoothly and securely, but you'd need to pay some amount of money for that. Another area that could be improved, though not necessarily regarding Okta Workforce Identity, is the SSO applications because so many of the source applications charge extra money to put the SSO to work, which means you have to buy a more expensive license. Nowadays, SSO is a mainstream functionality and it should be out-of-the-box in those applications because it's so easy to set up.""We've not had any problems with Okta.""Application updates are lacking. Customer support needs to be improved.""Therefore, if you have 10 million users, that's almost 100 million, so it is costly.""Okta Workforce Identity could improve the way passwords are reset and how it interfaces with Microsoft.""We experienced some technical glitches that need to be resolved.""The only aspect in which it can be improved is that the interface could be cleaner. I found this even when I was trying to do my certification exam because the certification is hands-on. You find yourself fumbling around a little bit to find simple things. This happens even when you start to get familiar with the product."

"What it doesn't do is provide notice in the event of a vulnerability or offense from the security.""The user interface is not very user-friendly.""There are various functions that don't work in IdentityIQ, including the access request reminder, which doesn't go to the approvals in the proper format, so it's hard for users to read.""The cost of this solution is high. The technical assistance center could be improved. They're very good, but considering the intricacies of the solution, they can further improve.""The solution, in general, is quite expensive.""The mover process for this solution could be improved.""The report functionality and dashboard of the access manager could be improved.""The price of IdentityIQ could be lower. There are additional costs when you buy the licenses, and they force the customers to pay for them."

  • "Its price is okay. It provides good value for money. It is subscription-based. You can go for a one-year or three-year subscription."
  • "The price of the solution could improve, it is not priced well for smaller businesses to afford."
  • "It is a costly solution. Its cost, for sure, should be reduced."
  • "You do pay one price for the license but that price depends on what you choose to include as far as the optional modules go."
  • "Usually, the cost of deploying about 5,000 licenses or 5,000 users, would be the equivalent to the cost of the license, which would be reaching up to around $90,000."
  • "You are able to get discounts if you plan to use the tool for the long-term i.e. discounts for 5+ years of usage."
  • "In terms of pricing, SailPoint IdentityIQ is affordable. It's not cheap, and it's not expensive, so the solution is in the middle, price-wise. It also didn't have additional costs, even if my company had different teams that took care of auditing and provisioning and projects that used SailPoint IdentityIQ."
  • "This is an expensive solution. I would rate it a two and a half out of five for pricing."
