Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Workforce Identity offers a comprehensive access management solution with multi-factor authentication, total control, and features like app access management, identity governance, and administration tools such as certification and access request management. These are typically found in identity management solutions, but Okta integrates them seamlessly into its user interface.""They have good push authentications.""A solution that's easy to use, stable, and reliable.""It is a very stable solution.""Workforce Identity's best features include its user-friendliness and easy setup.""One of the most beneficial features of the solution is the user provisioning and the de-provisioning feature.""The product’s most valuable feature is multifactor authentication.""I am able to authenticate my users on cloud and SaaS applications such as Workday through Okta workflows."

"The basic concept is most valuable. I like how they have designed the solution. They create an Identity Cube, and then they do all the processes and configuration around the Identity Cube.""What I like most about SailPoint IdentityIQ is that it's simple to use and easy to configure and deploy.""We are happy with the SailPoint IdentityIQ’s stability.""The most valuable feature for our customers and for us is the identity data warehouse.""Access certification and provisioning are two of the solutions most valuable features.""I like IdentityIQ's granular attachment management and certification customization features.""Provides good authorization and authentication system functionality.""User provisioning and the role management features are good."

Cons
"It's not compatible with on-premises installations, unless you host it as a SaaS. We were not able to do that. For example, imagine a scenario where the cloud is not available. Then, Okta will not work for you. That use case will readily fail because it doesn't have an on-premises installation that you can use to authenticate or provide identity and access management. If you have a purely on-premises solution that is not connected to the internet, then this will not work. This is one area that can be improved.""The stability could be better.""The solution can be quite expensive.""They also have single sign-on (SSO). When we bought Okta Workforce Identity a year and a half ago, I was also looking at SSO, but not much documentation was available for SSO. The documentation for SSO should be a little more robust for somebody who is implementing it for the first time.""Okta Workforce Identity could improve the support system, they are too slow.""The training is too costly.""The error logging could be improved. Okta doesn't provide enough details when you are troubleshooting an issue. It's often difficult to fix it from our end, so we always need additional support from Okta.""There should be automated aggregation and complete classification processes included in it."

More Okta Workforce Identity Cons →

"The UI is complex.""The cost of this solution is high. The technical assistance center could be improved. They're very good, but considering the intricacies of the solution, they can further improve.""The product’s cloud offering could be flexible.""The cost can be prohibitive for middle-tier companies.""The mover process for this solution could be improved.""They should lower the price and technical support should be better.""Some setups should be done in the interface and in the code, and could be made simpler.""The solution's technical support team's response time and skills need improvement since it is an area where there are shortcomings."
