We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Its integration components are most valuable. It integrates with everything in some way. There are some products, such as O365 or AD, with which it completely and 100% integrates. So, you can seamlessly create accounts across the board with some of these products. For some of the products with which it doesn't completely integrate, you can do some kind of interfacing.""Its simplicity and its integration with various vendor-agnostic platforms are the most valuable features.""The initial setup of Okta Workforce Identity is straightforward. I was able to get an environment ready within half a day.""What I found most valuable in Okta Workforce Identity is that it worked together with VMware Workspace One, so there was this device check at the same time. My company used the trusted device method that enabled you to define that only the trusted devices including the Workspace One agent were able to access the applications directly without an additional authentication step.""One of the most beneficial features of the solution is the user provisioning and the de-provisioning feature.""It made things a lot easier, especially with passwords.""Workforce Identity offers a comprehensive access management solution with multi-factor authentication, total control, and features like app access management, identity governance, and administration tools such as certification and access request management. These are typically found in identity management solutions, but Okta integrates them seamlessly into its user interface.""We can automate the process of adding users to Okta if they are activated in Active Directory, or if they are added to the database of applications or Active Directory in the last couple of days."

"It provides ease of connecting all our devices.""The solution is stable. We haven't experienced any bugs or glitches.""It is a scalable solution...It is a stable solution.""It's pretty stable as a product.""It gets a mobility portal in place in conjunction with Office 365. It provides very good possibilities and it's much better than other technology that we have used before which was unstable and slower.""This is a user-friendly solution.""What I like best about PingID is that it's very user-friendly. PingID is well-built as a developer tool and regularly upgrades and updates via patches. I also like that PingID has clear documents that will help you integrate it with other solutions.""I like the self-service feature. The 502 and UBP systems are also excellent. PingID's ability to authenticate with SSH, RDP, and Windows login is pretty handy. It covers the entire spectrum of use."

Cons
"It would be pricing, which is a tough one because it goes against Microsoft. A lot of companies say they're a Microsoft partner, and they get all their software for free. Okta is like a luxury product, and it's not the most affordable one. I would say if they could work on pricing, it would help. Other than that, they've done great strides in developing a product that is really good. The companies that do see the value tend to invest in it.""RESTful Web Service calls and their response seem a bit slow.""We have experienced some challenges in integrating this solution with Scope and Cognito.""Okta Workforce Identity could improve provisioning it can be made simpler.""The solution should have greater on-premises availability, not just cloud and more package customization in its processing.""They also have single sign-on (SSO). When we bought Okta Workforce Identity a year and a half ago, I was also looking at SSO, but not much documentation was available for SSO. The documentation for SSO should be a little more robust for somebody who is implementing it for the first time.""Application updates are lacking. Customer support needs to be improved.""The guest user access could be improved."

More Okta Workforce Identity Cons →

"PingID classifies the type of environment into internal and external, which is an area for improvement because you need to take additional steps to trust internal and external users.""In the beginning, the initial setup was very complex.""PingID should put a little more effort into making a pretty self-explanatory deck about their tech features and the services they offer.""The timing of the token validity, if it could be extended, would be great. I'm not sure if there is even an option to configure these types of settings.""We have encountered instances where it is not easy to do authentication.""They could use some bio-certification. It's just more user-friendly and more convenient than entering the one time passes. That would be an improvement.""If the solution is going to compete with Microsoft, they need to offer more unique functionality to keep their current user base.""The solution should allow for better integration with other platforms and the UBT."
