Authentication process improves security with quick and intuitive user interface
The best feature is the speed and execution of Okta Workforce Identity. The moment you click on single sign-on, you immediately get the notification on your mobile phone, then you do the authentication and within a second you get authenticated. The entire customer experience is very good. The user interface is pretty simple, straightforward, and really good. Multi-factor authentication in Okta Workforce Identity is very useful so people who do not have access or are trying to access using just a user ID and password will be completely blocked because of this two-factor authentication. You will get the code, and as your device is authorized in the system, only that device can be used for the authentication purpose. A third person trying to access or hack your data will not be able to do that anymore. Additionally, you don't have to remember your passwords going forward. Previously, every 60 days or 90 days, passwords kept changing. With the two-factor authentication or single sign-on option in Okta Workforce Identity, you don't have to remember it anymore or write down passwords in plain text. If something goes wrong, we have the IAM team which can unlock your account immediately if you have issues.

Offers single sign-on capabilities to users
Suppose you are totally dependent and have requirements where you have a cloud application or several applications for integration with the cloud. In that case, I will suggest the use of Oracle Identity Cloud Service. Oracle Identity Cloud Service has much scope for customization. If you have a high customization level, then I would suggest IAM. The tool's multifactor authentication capabilities are easy to implement. If a client has a banking system, they need a strong authentication service, and only a password is not required; the user has to authenticate via fingerprint, face recognition, or go for or any RSA token. Double authentication is required where the banking department has access to very critical applications, or else they cannot go ahead and give the password. It is very difficult to hack once you have MFA in place. You have to either give the print fingerprint or any RSA token, making it not so easy to hack the system. We suggest MFA to clients who have the most critical application with them. I recommend the tool for every client we have, but it depends on how they want to have it because some customers don't want to go for the cloud application, and they might be thinking about changing the cloud vendors. Suppose a company has some costs in mind, and if they have a large number of employees, like 50,000 or 1,00,000 users, then it will be costlier for them than having an on-prem tool, like IAM. If a customer has 5,000, 10,000, or 20,00 employees, Oracle Identity Cloud Service can be a cheaper tool than the IAM product. I will suggest Oracle Identity Cloud Service only for smaller organizations. The tool does not have any AI capabilities. I would recommend the tool to everyone. I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

Adheres to the data privacy regulations of each region, easy to learn and offers strong security features
The single sign-on feature of Salesforce Identity enhances our organization's security posture overall. For example, I recently implemented Identity for a fashion brand in Canada. They were using GitGuard before. From my experience, I saw a lot of complexities with GitGuard, especially when developing core integrations. Salesforce Identity was much easier. We replaced it in a month which took them six months to build. It saves time, and it's very secure. You need permissions for any operation, and data is protected when switching between apps. Salesforce Identity supports compliance with data protection and privacy regulations. Salesforce adheres to the data privacy regulations of each region. The data is always encrypted, and their security is very strong. Even with access, you can't break into the system due to their security settings. It definitely obeys regulations regarding data security.

The integration with the single solution E-business suite is also very valuable."
"Onboarding of new employees, consultants, and partners has rapidly increased. We reduced the time to onboard them and the ease of onboarding has been improved. Therefore, we recognize there has been efficiency which has been brought into our organization."

Cons

"We have experienced some challenges in integrating this solution with Scope and Cognito."
"We had some implementation issues."
"The solution can be quite expensive."
"The only aspect in which it can be improved is that the interface could be cleaner. I found this even when I was trying to do my certification exam because the certification is hands-on. You find yourself fumbling around a little bit to find simple things. This happens even when you start to get familiar with the product."
"The ability or the options in the solution for changing the look and feel are not good enough because in our partner portal, essentially what they have is an ugly admin interface."
"The only area of concern in the solution stems from the fact that my company needs some help regarding the setup phase from a partner."
"Areas for improvement with Okta Workforce Identity would be in the governance place; for me, it is light."
"It only facilitates provisioning and not de-provisioning."
"The protocol could be easier to use."
"The initial setup was a little complex. At that time, the method of integration was a bit complicated due to the scripts that we were required to write for the integration."
"The IDs that are not used for a particular number of days should be disabled automatically."
"The tool doesn't have many out-of-the-box connectors for the target integration."
"Self Service features are still limited in IDCS, and there is a need for more customization of the self-service screens."
"We still see a lot of bugs in any of the versions that Oracle comes out with. So, there are a lot of bugs that need to be fixed."
"Oracle needs to improve the GUI and many other aspects of the cloud console. It isn't as slick as Azure, Google, or IWS cloud. The documentation could be better, too."
"The cost of this solution should be reduced."
"Salesforce Identity needs more expertise in the application."
"The interface should be simplified and the dashboard has a lot of options but could be improved."
"The most wanted feature on such platforms nowadays is artificial intelligence, especially for marketing activities. This is also my area of expertise, so it would be very interesting to see AI in these platforms."
"Salesforce could make it more user-friendly and easier to implement. Currently, there's a lot of coding and technical work required. I would appreciate a more plug-and-play approach where you could set it up without needing a dedicated technical person."
"The product is slow."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is reasonable."
"The price of this product could be lower."
"The solution’s pricing needs to be reasonable. You are dealing with a lot of components and the pricing is component-based."
"The price of the solution is good."
"Workforce Identity is well-priced."
"The licensing is per user per month and includes full technical support."
"The product's price is high. For each feature, a certain payment is required."
"I believe it competes well. The pricing is pretty competitive. I know that Microsoft also provides something similar with its MFA and identity services."
"The foundation tier that is offered with other cloud services subscriptions is fairly extensive and supports the use of identities, groups, and privileges in those cloud services."
"Our licensing costs are on a yearly basis."
"The tool's implementation costs totally depend on the number of users. The cost depends on how many users are going to use it, so a per-user cost model is needed for the tool."
"I'd recommend Salesforce for larger products where you really need a robust CRM. It's expensive, so for smaller websites or products, it might not be the most cost-effective solution."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a very low price and ten is a very high price, I rate Salesforce Identity's pricing a six out of ten."
