We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I find the vulnerability assessment and asset prioritization feature valuable."

"Number of service incidents dropped by more than 20%.""I like everything about this product.""The solution’s visualizations are very good. It's very easy to use them... We can give our senior managers, our directors, and our partners a dashboard at a very high level. They can very easily start to drill down by clicking through the dashboard and find stuff that doesn't look right. And our technical teams can use the same thing to identify problems in specific locations.""All the features of Nexthink are really useful when it comes to providing visibility into the endpoints and the services that we are monitoring, but the most interesting and useful features are the campaign and remote actions.""Nexthink allows our customers to have visibility into their whole environment and security. And it lets you install the agent as a package for selected users instead of every user. This helps cut down on the delay involved in a bulk installation.""We have found the combination of analytics and automation in this solution to be very valuable to our organization, as it allows for us to perform auto-resolution on customer issues.""It is a very stable product with regular security and feature updates.""It is useful for managing end-user devices. The insights and the data that you get from end-user devices are most valuable."

Cons
"The support mechanism can be improved."

More Broadcom Control Compliance Suite Cons →

"I would like it if they could put in some patch deployments and compliances.""It would be good to have a more controlled way to access their cloud environment.""There are many limitations. If I'm using a Windows 10 system and Windows has certain restrictions, Nexthink won't be able to penetrate into the Windows OS due to those restrictions.""We have provided them feedback on a few changes we would like to see with how alerting can work. Rather than have somebody looking at the network, if network utilization goes above a certain point, it would be helpful if the solution issued an alert to the right people.""The solution could use better automation and less coding. Since I am part of the administrative background, I'm not completely into the development side. I'm not well versed in coding.""We need some guidance from the Nexthink team on some of the new features they are releasing and how best to use them.""Nexthink could have better integration with ITSM tools - at the moment, they only integrate with ServiceNow, so adding other tools, like HP SMAX, would be very useful.""The stability of this solution could be greatly improved to avoid performance issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Symantec Control Compliance Suite was the cheaper option for us. But the main reason why we're still using it is that we purchased the complete suite back in 2011."
  • More Broadcom Control Compliance Suite Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Nexthink can pay for itself quickly if you identify and complete the most valuable use cases. The tool can do so much that to purely compare the price in a static way to other tools in your arsenal would be a mistake. If you do a more dynamic comparison that’s based on the overall functionality and use cases possible then it comes out cheaper. You need to consider it a relative measurement against potential use cases, size of the organization, maturity of organization, etc."
  • "With this implementation of the Act and Engage module, I believe that there is a one-time fee for a two-month period, which is for the support team to make additional customizations."
  • "I have seen it help improve the user experience scores. This helped clients to save costs on another tool that they were trying to deploy in order to improve the user experience by just deploying some scripts. We were able to identify the issues and help them remediate those using our help. The process does not take much time and it provided background on end user performance. Therefore, they were able to save a lot, e.g., for approximately 50,000 endpoints at two dollars per machine per year, that is about $100,000 in savings."
  • "There are certain layers when it comes to pricing. The product has three layers and these layers are associated with certain sources. For example, the top layer have the premium services and the bottom layer has the basic services."
  • "I would rate the tool's pricing a nine out of ten. The tool's pricing model is pay-as-you-use."

    Overview

Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS) delivers the core assessment technologies to enable security and compliance programs, as well as support IT operations in the data center. Control Compliance Suite delivers asset autodiscovery, automates security assessments across procedural, technical, and third-party controls, and calculates and aggregates risk scores according to business-defined threshholds. Customers use this information for operational- and mandate-based reporting, as well as to prioritize remediation and risk reduction in the data center.

Each of the five Control Compliance Suite Modules is available independently or as part of a broader suite. The Control Compliance Suite Control Studio and Infrastructure combines evidence from the multiple modules as well as third party systems; and maps assets and evidence to control statements, standards, and policies and regulations to enable mandate- based and operational reporting. Role-based, customizable Web-based dashboards and reports enable the organization to measure risk and track the performance of its security and compliance programs. Workflow integration with ticketing systems and Symantec server hardening solutions automates remediation and facilitates the hardening of the data center infrastructure.
