Threat detection has improved and malicious emails are now identified quickly
Vectra AI offers artificial intelligence capabilities with visibility that can be integrated into our day-to-day operations and other tools, including malware detection tools and cyber threat tools. Vectra AI has positively impacted my organization. Last year while using it, we received many malicious email threats and virus incidents, including a trojan virus that had reportedly been deployed by someone. Our company used Vectra AI to detect the malicious threats and viruses before they could cause more damage, and we successfully stopped the threats. Using Vectra AI, I notice that server downtime has decreased significantly. We now experience only two to three hours of downtime, whereas without Vectra AI and other tools, our downtime would exceed 48 to 72 hours.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Whitelisting services are the most valuable feature of Change Tracker Gen7 R2."
"I have contacted the support once and the experience was good, I was satisfied."
"Change Tracker Gen7 R2 can be used in the health sector for compliance and can secure the patient's information."
"It provides various dashboards that facilitate the identification of connections and can detect data exfiltration, meaning data sent from your environment to another."
"Scalability wise, we have many sensors, and Vectra AI seems to handle them all very well."
"The intuitive dashboards are incredibly useful, with both the Quadrant UX and the Respond UX, so whether looking from a management point of view or an analyst point of view, both dashboards are very intuitive."
"The biggest feature for us, because we are heavy Microsoft users, is its integration with Office 365. On top of Vectra AI, we use all of the Microsoft security platforms, such as Defender ATP and Sentinel. Having full integration and a central platform to look at all of the threats that are coming through from the different platforms is a huge benefit for us."
"It's easy to manage, and I love the UX. It's very well designed. When we are looking for something, it's quite easy to find it."
"The packet-capturing feature is very useful."
"In comparison to some of the other tools that I've come across in this category, I would definitely give it a 10 out of 10."
"Most of their use cases, including deployment, are managed by the tool itself, requiring less manual input from our team."

Cons

"The solution could improve by being more secure and have better integration."
"The solution could include more integrations."
"ExtraHop has better features that seem more advantageous when compared to Vectra."
"The main improvement I can see would be to integrate with more external solutions."
"The advantages of the integration are not entirely out-of-the-box. You have to do it manually."
"One of the things that we are missing a bit is the capability to add our own rules to it. At the moment, the tech engine does its thing, but we have some cool ideas to make additional rules. There should be an option in the platform to add custom rules, or there should be some kind of user group where we can suggest them for the roadmap and see if they get evaluated and get transparent communication on whether they will be implemented in the product or not."
"One area where there's room for improvement is the absence of a comprehensive TCP recording and replay feature."
"If you hit a certain number of rules, triage filters, or groups, the UX responds more slowly."
"A blind spot that I have is around the ease with which you can automate threat intervention."
"Integration with other security components needs improvement. It should have true integration as opposed to just being a separate pane of glass."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is a license required for this solution."
"We are running at about 90,000 pounds per year. The solution is a licensed cost. The hardware that they gave us was pretty much next to nothing. It is the license that we're paying for."
"Vectra's pricing is too high. All schools will not be able to afford it. Vectra will only end up targeting higher education and higher value independence purely because of the price. A lot of schools would love to have a product like Vectra AI, but they simply can't because they struggle to even pay the high E5 licensing from Microsoft. When you're up against that, Vectra AI is never going to be within the sector's price range."
"It's relatively on the pricier side, but when compared to other solutions. It's not the most budget-friendly option, but it can be considered somewhat more cost-effective in comparison to other alternatives."
"Vectra's licensing model could scale to our research network, which has multiple, 100-gigabit links."
"Vectra AI's pricing is cheaper than that of Darktrace."
"The license is based on the concurrent IP addresses that it's investigating. We have 9,800 to 10,000 IP addresses."
"The pricing is very good. It's less expensive than many of the tools out there."
"The upfront pricing model that we have would have been more beneficial if it had been a recurring license fee, but that wasn't a massive issue for us. It's fairly priced."
