Robust data protection has safeguarded mailboxes and disaster recovery for our clients
NAKIVO Backup & Replication has released many updates lately and at this point it works excellently. Needs will always appear, particularly around the AI topic and other things that come out over time. I understand that solutions always have to keep moving forward, but so far I see it as excellent.I give it a nine because nothing is perfect. There are always solutions, and NAKIVO Backup & Replication is a tool that adapts perfectly to certain needs. However, we cannot dismiss that there are powerful solutions on the market that have been around for much longer. I rate it a nine because we can always improve.

Trustworthy and provides good availability
Our administrator found the solution easy to use, but once that administrator left, it felt very overwhelming to the individual who took it over. It could be more of a knowledge transfer situation that didn't happen, but we didn't know if it was easy to use. Precisely Assure QuickEDD is deployed on the cloud in our organization. The implementation of QLED helped us with our recovery time objective and was a seamless transition. In order to utilize the product to its fullest potential, users should be knowledgeable of what it offers. They should also form a relationship with the person who is their representative. Overall, I rate the solution an eight or nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It was also very easy to configure backups to be sent offsite to a separate repository for disaster recovery needs."
"The ability to restore in the case of a catastrophic event is priceless since every company must use a backup solution of some sort."
"The backups, especially of the incremental type, are really quick (ranging from five to 10 to 45 to 50 minutes depending on the size of the VM)."
"Nakivo, similar to Veeam Backup, gives you peace of mind and confidence in your virtual infrastructure."
"It is one of the few products where you feel you are getting value for the ongoing support costs."
"The speed of the backups and replications is fantastic and, for the most part, the simplicity of use has been wonderful."
"This enables us to do quick granular file recovery as and when required but also to do whole-site relocation in the case of a total loss scenario."
"We have been using this for six years and it has been one of the applications that I know I can trust."
"Synchronous applications are valuable."
"The most valuable feature of Precisely Assure QuickEDD is the backup system."
"Its initial setup is fine; it is straightforward and easy."

Cons

"One complaint I have is the dashboard flashing as it reloads/refreshes itself. The program was not always like that and it happened after an update at some point."
"In models TS-231P/TS-431X you have to run Transporter as VM at ESXi host - which is not simple to do."
"Automatic updates do not work, and every update has to be done manually."
"In the future, the solution should provide a more granular backup."
"Implementing more comprehensive data deduplication and compression techniques could optimize storage utilization and reduce backup times, improving overall efficiency."
"They had given a feature of real-time replication which they stopped in NAKIVO. When we wanted to sell, they backed out, and currently, it is not available across platforms."
"Sometimes, for some VMs and some Windows Server versions, specifically old versions (aka server 12 or older) fail due to the VSS writer error or locking file system."
"At the moment I am pleased with what Nakivo does but I would like more reporting functions and, if possible, integration with my RMM system."
"There should be more interactive dashboards."
"It is expensive. The cost varies based on your requirements."
"Our administrator found the solution easy to use, but once that administrator left, it felt very overwhelming to the individual who took it over."

"Talk to the sales department about all of the possibilities, as they will help you to find the best solution for your setup."
"The licensing model is crystal clear on the website."
"I advise that this is the best product for medium or small environments according to my cost-benefit analysis."
"It has a much higher bang for the buck than other products we evaluated."
"Nakivo is cheaper per machine and per backup."
"The prices are high."
"We use a perpetual license that is priced well."
"Regarding the licensing, I would advise speaking to the Nakivo representatives and you can get the best option for your environment."
"It is expensive. The cost varies based on your requirements. If you want to manage it, there is an extra cost."
