Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Chat-based requests have streamlined daily workflows
Moveworks can definitely be improved. Currently, we have to do most of the things on our own, such as creating UI and APIs for how things will work. There are not many things that Moveworks is supporting right now. I would say it should have some features that are already present in other bots, so they should focus on those more. Currently, Moveworks has UI policy restrictions and client script restrictions. I think they should edit it so that all these UI policies and other things are allowed. If there are some forms in Moveworks, it should capture that form and ask it in the chat from the user, taking answers one by one, rather than presenting a form to users. This would have a very positive impact.

Macros and automation have streamlined workflows and reduced manual effort across support teams
The ability to communicate on the Zendesk ticket through the actual user software, so TOPs, would have been helpful. Somehow seeing a user's ticket history within our app would have been beneficial. That is the only thing that I do not think existed at the time that might have been helpful. Some people struggled with Zendesk, but it was always easy enough to show them how to use it and what they were missing. The only times we really had people report concerns about it was when they did not understand that it could do that or how to use it in that way.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is easy to learn and easy to deploy. That is the best part compared to the other RPA solutions available in the market. Automation Anywhere is easier than UiPath and Blue Prism."
"By using its AI & ML capabilities, we have solved many problems for our clients."
"The setup is straightforward. Automation Anywhere provides customer success managers to help with the setup."
"We have benefitted a lot now, but expect that we will benefit even more in the future as we get better at using intelligence."
"Automation Anywhere provides the best feature to make a software bot for processes."
"RPA platform with a good accuracy rate, variable management, and OCR feature. It has a straightforward setup."
"The scope of automation by using Automation Anywhere has become wonderful."
"The efficiency we get with Automation Anywhere is valuable."
"Moveworks has positively impacted our organization by lowering ServiceNow service desk calls by 90%, as users now prefer to ask questions through Moveworks in Teams before calling for help."
"Moveworks is a very good platform if you utilize it well."
"Moveworks has reduced employee time because initially, employees used to spend so much time going to the third party to do all those jobs, and now they can simply do it via Otter, which is Moveworks, and this has saved much time and provided accurate results as well."
"The solution saves us approximately three-quarters of a million dollars per year."
"Its agility and simplicity are the most valuable features. This tool is very user-friendly."
"Triggers and Automations greatly help with our workflow."
"Zendesk saves us over $50,000 per year and can be maintained in-house by our staff."
"Ticket submission has been completely streamlined and our ability to respond has been greatly simplified coming from our past solution (Sharepoint-based)."
"Even though I haven't tried other solutions, I think this product is very useful and easy to use."
"It forced the organization to rethink sub-par work processes and enabled us to work smarter."
"The initial setup was incredibly simple: choose your integration method, set up your fields and workflow, and it’s running."
"The ability to easily create macros, quickly see past correspondence from a recent sender, and view analytics are incredibly helpful features that are invaluable business tools."

Cons

"The first version would double our cost."
"Sometimes, while recording, the screen hangs and we are not able to perform any actions during that time."
"On the user side, we have seen issues with user training."
"The integration is not always seamless. Sometimes, it takes a while to get everything to communicate and be ready to go into production."
"The help Automation Anywhere offers during setup isn't great for smaller companies like ours."
"Automation Anywhere will sometimes announce releases or updates in their roadmap, and we wait for them, but they do not happen on time or at all."
"More and more innovation is going on, and they'll have to keep adding features to keep up with the market. They have generative AI on their platform, but that's a new part. They are working on it. It's not 100 percent foolproof, but eventually it will get better. They need to work on their AI capabilities."
"In the age of AARI and Automation Anywhere 2019 IQ Bot, the biggest challenges for me and my company are understanding the product and implementing it at the right place."
"There is always room for improvement, though it depends on how complicated one wants to make it."
"More use cases can be added to the agent marketplace and the YAML or the DSL methods can be simplified, adding more methods to make it easier for us to create compound actions."
"Customer support has been adequate; I would rate it around seven out of ten, as support often forwards cases to developers after collecting details."
"Moveworks can definitely be improved. Currently, we have to do most of the things on our own, such as creating UI and APIs for how things will work."
"Recently they have been under some stability issues, but they do have @ZendeskOps to keep us posted on Twitter when they have issues."
"When we used this solution for sales it turned out to be very poor."
"Zendesk could actually support HTML on the tickets so we could format our text better than the current options such as size, bold, italic, or underscored, because the text processing is too simple."
"They need to fix the email thread response problem."
"We have been quite frustrated lately with Zendesk, to the point where we are actually considering switching to different software that is more intuitive and better organized."
"It needs to improve in terms of its flexibility, price, and installation."
"There are various aspects of this product that need improvement such as its flexibility, price, and installation."
"Many channel inquiries are not possible to collect into a single interface."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We are not receiving the right information about their features, e.g. Automation Anywhere University, or anything that they are selling. They need to improve their documentation."
"The cost is affordable, which makes an easy barrier to entry for the RPA market."
"It saves on the quality of work, because the quality can be bad when somebody's doing it. If a bot does the work, it's faster and comes with good quality. These are two important things along with the cost saving in the long run. That's where the value is."
"The licensing cost is approximately $4,000 USD, which is a seed license."
"We have seen ROI on one of the process, but not on the other processes yet."
"Pricing is affordable and I would recommend beginning with the Starter Package."
"We have a few licenses. They cost roughly $10,000 each."
"IQ Bots are very costly. It's not a sustainable bot for us as of now. We will look for better, alternate options for that."
Information not available
"You have to pay extra for better support. So it's not only the license that you pay for, but you have to pay extra for the support as well."
"There are different plans that are offered. We are using the entry-level plan. The overall price of the solution should be reduced. The price is too high."
"We pay for the solution on a yearly basis and my understanding is that the cost is about $30,000. That's the cost for 24 to 25 agents."
"From what I hear, Zendesk's pricing is a little expensive."
"The price is very competitive."
"Zendesk's licensing is not cheap. For Enterprise, we are paying $200 per agent. It's a per-month cost, so it's pretty steep. There are some services you need to pay extra for. For example, with Zendesk Guide, we had to buy the most expensive offering in order to get Multibrand and everything. We also had to pay a lot of money for themes."
