Room for improvement in data handling leads to enhanced cost-effective data management performance
It would be beneficial if MongoDB Atlas could better support OLTP aspects and data frames, as well as enhance its capabilities for data pipelines and visualization dashboards. Furthermore, supporting the medallion architecture could be a valuable addition, and incorporating improved spatial and vector handling for geographical data could make it more competitive. Enhancing vector processing for AI capabilities would also be critical.

Delivers robust functionality with room for improved support and sandbox capabilities
The support providing aspects could be more transparent. SAP HANA Cloud requires extensive documentation before connecting with a human being to troubleshoot an issue. The sandbox capabilities of the environment could be made more efficient. The test or quality environment could be populated with production data to replicate live environment scenarios easily. With S/4 today, this process isn't as seamless because it's a service provided by SAP with a certain service cost. Regarding innovations, clarity of the process needs improvement. Recently, SAP makes commercial changes before having supporting documentation ready. Better planning in this area would help implementers.

Pros

"It is nice because our developers create tables whenever they need to sync data."
"The initial setup of MongoDB Atlas is straightforward...It is a scalable solution."

This has allowed us to minimize the amount of time and effort required to manage it, as it effectively manages itself. Additionally, it is a complete solution when looking at its features."
"Administering the solution is easy."
"It is a scalable solution because we use quite a lot of data, and it handles it well."
"I find MongoDB Atlas highly scalable and easy to use, with very good support."

"The product does not have ORM."
"MongoDB Atlas should support containerization."
"A few areas that we have noticed as being problematic with the MongoDB Atlas include user access to the platform. Currently, it is difficult to restrict and control what actions a user can perform within the solution, which poses a challenge from an internal auditing perspective."
"The cost needs improvement."
"The web console isn't very intuitive, especially for large data."
"The cost needs improvement. The product is good, but the cost that we paid for it is expensive, so it wasn't that valuable."
"I see some weaknesses in SAP HANA Cloud regarding innovations, as they take their own time compared to what the market brings in with new features."
"SAP HANA Cloud requires extensive documentation before connecting with a human being to troubleshoot an issue."
