Insider threats have been detected faster and internal data exposure is now controlled
Regarding how Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection can be improved, sometimes the tool is slightly laggy, wherein it would take some time for us to fetch the related logs from the Mimecast portal, and that of course can be improved. There could also be a graph or a kind of a graph where, if the organization has a smaller number of employees, it is fine, but if it has a large number of employees and different departments, then in that case, Mimecast could give us an AI suggestion upon how to improvise the current security posture, how we stand and where we can go up to in terms of implementing or tweaking the policies. As the organization's size gets bigger, it would also be better if Mimecast could provide some solutions upon how to segregate the users into groups and what groups can have which policies. Those kinds of features can be added. Regarding Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection's AI capabilities, I think its governance and security could improve as I am not entirely sure how it works. It would be helpful if Mimecast could, as the AI capabilities are in place, maintain a strict governance policy upon the data that is being processed, especially for user personally identifiable information. As insider risk management sometimes also gets into the personal details of the user, organizations might be hesitant; even we are also hesitant to use the AI capabilities. If Mimecast could provide more information about how they store the data and whether the agents are local agents or cloud-hosted agents, that would be of great help for the organizations to consider its AI capabilities while adhering to the compliance needs of a particular organization.

Comprehensive security solution enhances data classification and protection
The most valuable feature of Palo Alto Networks Enterprise Data Loss Prevention is its comprehensive end-to-end solution in Cloud Delivery Security Services, which includes URL, data loss prevention, and advanced threat prevention as features that can be enabled just by clicking a checkbox. Compared to competitors, these are often additional add-ons, whereas Palo Alto Networks provides a complete solution. The artificial intelligence integration in the product also helps immensely by classifying data, identifying data, and monitoring user access and behavior, thus improving data security strategies.

Pros

"Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection has positively impacted our organization as it has helped us identify a lot of phishing emails and stopped many unauthorized disclosures or accidental disclosures of information."
"Security tools: Being able to monitor data going in and coming off our endpoints. Seeing what it is and where it's going is awesome."
"It had the ability to preseed by sending in a data drive and could restore by sending the user a data drive."
"If you treasure your digital content – this is the solution for you."

"It has saved many users from the loss of hundreds of hours of work."
"This was the best ones that I tested; I loved it then and still love it now."
"There are a couple of things. One of them is that they have what they call Incydr. Their detection and response solution to the insider threat area is called Incydr. That gives visibility to the clients that have widely dispersed employee bases due to work from home, or that had a dispersed workforce predating any of the work from home requirements. Even though they might not be inside the organization physically, they're inside the organization. It allows us to get some visibility into what people are doing, what the context is, and how to control what might be the potential for intellectual property theft or file exposure."
"Another important feature is that the solution doesn't require any additional infrastructure to implement. It's a software license that is compatible with our existing hardware. We were able to install and configure the product seamlessly and effortlessly."
"The setup is very easy as we just need to switch on and switch off."
"The primary feature is managing firewalls through Panorama, especially when handling multiple firewalls across different sites like headquarters and remote sites."
"It is a stable solution with good support."
"Having this technology, which makes it easy to manage with administration done centrally, is super helpful."
"The security aspect in finance is crucial for controlling from a DLP perspective and ensuring protection."
"The most valuable feature of Palo Alto Networks Enterprise Data Loss Prevention is its comprehensive end-to-end solution in Cloud Delivery Security Services, which includes URL, data loss prevention, and advanced threat prevention as features that can be enabled just by clicking a checkbox."
"Our clients primarily deploy Palo Alto Networks Enterprise DLP to control the flow of information in and out of their networks. The main use cases include monitoring and managing sensitive data such as credit card information and personally identifiable information."

Cons

"I am waiting for them to develop an app that can be installed on a smartphone or tablet that backs up the data as it does for computers."
"We would like to see a little more flexibility in the reporting from the admin console."
"Due to recent changes that effectively abandoned an entire segment of their user base, I no longer trust nor can recommend Code42 products."
"The application, written in Java, required far more system resources on a Client than other solutions."
"As a newcomer into a business that is running this software, what I think could be improved is how I get support."
"Clients will from time-to-time have difficulty connecting to our backup server."
"Reporting could use an overhaul. It is very limited."
"Removal of the Java engine would be fantastic."
"There is room for improvement in the documentation around the maintenance of the product, how the automatic updates work, and pushing out new policies. A little more detail and context in that area would be helpful."
"There are mostly performance issues."
"The configuration for Palo Alto Networks firewalls requires specifying many details, such as protocols and services."
"The product is still overly complicated compared to other vendors such as Check Point, which could be improved."
"Pricing is expensive."
"Its scalability is not on par with the features of others."
"The solution needs improvement in stability. There has been feedback regarding the accuracy of file categorization."
"You need to have an external solution to backup everything. For example, you need to have Syslog installed on your server as well so that you can back it up to another place."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It used to be a good solution for SOHO in particular as it had unlimited storage for a reasonable price. However, their pricing model has changed and they are now primarily targeting enterprise users."
"The pricing is reasonable. It's my understanding that the cost is about $7 for unlimited storage in the cloud per server."
"It was expensive. It was more expensive than Eureka, and it was more expensive than Barracuda Backup, but what we got was a full team. They didn't come in and nickel and dime us. They provided the assistance we needed. They didn't say that they need to charge us for something or it is going to take another statement of work. It was all bundled into it... We pay for the software maintenance. It is probably 18% or 20% of the license fee for rev releases."
"It is 100% worth the cost to get and keep the support, especially when setting it up."
"They were the best solution and surprisingly enough, the cheapest."
"The licensing model is very fair-minded and it's a good value. It scales well... Its licensing model is more streamlined when compared to other DLP solutions."
"It's expensive."
"Palo Alto Networks Enterprise Data Loss Prevention is expensive, and licensing costs are monthly."
"The pricing of the solution depends on the buyers. But, from my point of view, it is in line with the rest of the products and the price list of Palo Alto."
