Simplify and streamline complex business processes, and good integration capabilities but lacks predictive capabilities
An area of improvement could be around automation and predictability. However, I'm sure Microsoft is already thinking about incorporating AI co-pilot features, which should be coming soon. The end person who will be looking at the report is the CFO, and CFO isn't just interested in static reports but in predictive information. Ideally, SL could use data from ERP, and CRM to provide some level of prediction. CoPilot is plugged into Dynamics, it'll be a plus and even a huge selling point over other solutions that are there in the market because now we have a component of AI. We can also give you some level of prediction. Even if it starts with a 15% confidence level, a CFO will take that because it still allows them to increase their bets to a certain extent. So, that's something that I I will look forward to whenever Microsoft introduces it.

Provides efficiency for small businesses, but requires costly add-ons for broader capabilities
I am currently using SAP products but not primarily selling SAP. Regarding real-time data processing capabilities, it is partially helpful for decision-making. It has built-in capability for real-time data, but it's not interactive data analytics. People need another solution such as Power BI to be integrated to get real-time data with interactive analytics. When it comes to customizing reporting in SAP Business One, it has the capability to customize reports via SAP Crystal Reports. It has a good amount of reports, but for each business, you need to understand exactly what the customer needs to customize their reports. The solution includes a mobile app to access key business information, though it is a very weak mobile app. The main benefit SAP Business One provides to users is ease of access. It's very good to present to customers, both from the interface and capabilities perspective. It's suitable for small to medium companies, making the buy-in for the solution very good. The pricing for SAP Business One is very competitive. Overall, SAP Business One is a very good solution for small to medium businesses. If your company is looking for an ERP to run end-to-end business, this is the solution. You need specific add-ons to run in specific industries, but it's approximately 70% good for most small to medium companies. My overall rating for SAP Business One is 7 out of 10.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's pretty easy to set up."
"If I put myself in the customer's shoes, it's easier to use. Reporting would be a very valuable feature."
"The solution has many helpful features, the stability is very good, its performance is reliable, the solution is extremely useful for e-commerce companies, the compliance has been very useful, the solution is quite stable, the scalability is good, and it is pretty easy to set up."
"The solution has provided a good return on investment by ensuring our financial and operational information is accurate and timely."
"Business One's best feature is transport management and collections."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"One of the biggest advantages of SAP Business One, especially in the public cloud, is that many features are standardized, which reduces the need for customization."
"Setting up Business One is straightforward. It took us about three months to deploy Business One on AWS."
"The cost of licensing this solution is very fair."
"The most valuable aspect is that it is easy to use the software."
"It is quite simple, and it is suitable for medium and small businesses."
"The most important features are the accounting and finance features, everything leads to finance, the initial setup is not too complex, it's stable, you can scale the solution well, and the pricing is good."

Cons

"The product's primary improvement area would be its batch processing system."
"An area of improvement could be around automation and predictability."
"The licensing of the solution should be adjusted; the policies aren't ideal and they should make it easier to understand because right now it's too confusing."
"There could be enhancements in plant maintenance, quality assurance, and HR management features."
"The technical support from SAP is very restricted to its knowledge base. It does not add much beyond what is already available in the knowledge base."
"Our company is expanding to different countries, and business is growing. We feel that it is not good enough for the huge volume of the business."
"There is no dependency, the integration between the other applications."
"SAP Business One could be improved if SAP creates one platform to integrate different solutions, particularly having a multi-company concept rather than having different databases. The solution could be similar to SAP S/4 Hana and the SAP Business ByDesign concept."
"The solution could improve by providing HR payroll, quality control, and maintenance. These are the missing features which we have to use add-ons solutions to provide the functionality."
"The solution's CRM module can be made better."
"More support can be provided on the web client end."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"If the value proposition is clear for the customer, they won't see it as an expensive solution. A solution becomes expensive when it doesn't do what it promises."
"The licensing costs were reasonable."
"I rate the price of SAP Business One a seven out of ten."
"The price of the solution is reasonable."
"This solution can work with a very small company, but the price may not be the right, it may not be the right fit for them. We can't help with this because we have to really understand the market, the target audience, and we have to position the product accordingly. The price is not a very big concern because if the customer is finding value or the dealer, distributor, or implementation partner can show real value in the solution, then the price will not be a question at all."
"The price of SAP Business One on AWS is reasonable for what we use it for."
"Licenses are available on a monthly or yearly basis, and it costs about $1,200 per license, per user."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten."
"Though I cannot specifically state whether SAP Business One on AWS is a cheap or expensive product, I can surely say that it is a manageable tool from a cost perspective."
"We recently acquired the license, so we are using the latest version."
