Mailchimp could be more user-friendly for setting up WordPress websites. Some of the complex settings can be time-consuming to configure. So, setting up Mailchimp for WordPress websites can be time-consuming for an average user but not necessarily difficult. It's time-consuming, especially when adding custom code to email campaigns. It requires some experience and knowledge to do it effectively.

Cons

"There are certain hiccups in the program that can be improved to make it more user friendly."
"Sometimes, you will be typing in a text box and hit the backspace, but the website will think you meant to go back a page. Basically, you end up losing work when this happens and it is hard to predict."
"When I started using Constant Contact creating email was very flaky, in terms of crashes and usability (perhaps compared to Weebly etc.). It has improved, however, still needs improvement and email creation still seems clunky and limited compared to other online solutions or website building tools."
"All Constant Contact wants to do is keep you on a monthly subscription, so if you only want to send out emails on a quarterly basis you must either pay every month you do not use the product, or you must cancel your subscription and then re-open an account every quarter."
"Sometimes, you will be typing in a text box and hit the backspace, but the website will think you meant to go back a page. Basically, you end up losing work when this happens and it is hard to predict."
"Could use better search and certain editing traits."
"They have poor inbox visibility, and many of the emails went to the spam folder."
"Pretty much everything, and the RSS campaign is the only reason we stick with MailChimp."
"I don't have any issues with the service."
"MailChimp’s reports on audience engagement are not the most robust."
"A standalone system for private servers would be ideal."
"Sadly now Mailchimp has started charging for the use of the auto-responder (automation) emails, so it's lost it's edge for the free services."
"Mailchimp could be more user-friendly for setting up WordPress websites. Some of the complex settings can be time-consuming to configure. So, setting up Mailchimp for WordPress websites can be time-consuming for an average user."
"Customer service: Not timely, but somewhat effective when on paid plans."

"The cost is fair, and you end up making enough in sales to pay for it."
