The goal is to continue to engage with my list. Keeping in touch with new and potential customers helps stay "on top of mind" when needing services.  Just like the name states, it has allowed me to stay in "constant contact" with my subscribers. The most valuable features are creating and…

Good for digital marketing purposes, such as creating and managing email campaigns
Mailchimp could be more user-friendly for setting up WordPress websites. Some of the complex settings can be time-consuming to configure. So, setting up Mailchimp for WordPress websites can be time-consuming for an average user but not necessarily difficult. It's time-consuming, especially when adding custom code to email campaigns. It requires some experience and knowledge to do it effectively.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The fact that we have been a customer for so long indicates how vital this solution is for our organisation."
"The ability to email clients using templates setup in the system."
"Just like the name states, it has allowed me to stay in "constant contact" with my subscribers."
"It is fun to design your newsletter based on the content you would like to deliver."
"Customer Service: Very good but I would have liked to have 24 hours accessibility."
"Every email I send, gets people to click on something or contact me, and it works."
"Email marketing is the most valuable aspect."
"Customer Service: Outstanding, with email, chat and call capabilities even on weekends."
"MailChimp's most important functionality is its automation feature."
"MailChimp has allowed us to easily integrate it with our CRM which has reduced the amount of effort needed to setup up and track any marketing newsletter."
"Running email campaigns is easy and straightforward."
"This is a great way for DigiEnable to keep in touch with its clients, users, subscribers, and charities and groups it supports, and it's a vital tool in the online communications strategy for any business, meaning you can build better relationships with your clients, keep in touch more, and you'll build better projects for years to come."
"MailChimp enables us to manage how the content crosses over and monitors each series or campaign while providing in-depth analytics for each vertical market."
"If it's for a small business sending out a monthly newsletter, it's a great solution."
"Customer Service: Excellent. Technical Support: Very good."
"Seeing the click rates, i.e., what people are clicking on to gauge what the subscribers to our emails are interested in is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"Sometimes, you will be typing in a text box and hit the backspace, but the website will think you meant to go back a page. Basically, you end up losing work when this happens and it is hard to predict."
"All Constant Contact wants to do is keep you on a monthly subscription, so if you only want to send out emails on a quarterly basis you must either pay every month you do not use the product, or you must cancel your subscription and then re-open an account every quarter."
"When I started using Constant Contact creating email was very flaky, in terms of crashes and usability (perhaps compared to Weebly etc.). It has improved, however, still needs improvement and email creation still seems clunky and limited compared to other online solutions or website building tools."
"There are certain hiccups in the program that can be improved to make it more user friendly."
"Could use better search and certain editing traits."
"Sadly now Mailchimp has started charging for the use of the auto-responder (automation) emails, so it's lost it's edge for the free services."
"List management could be more scalable."
"The video embedding doesn’t render until you send a campaign, which makes it hard to see the layout."
"Customer Service: I really haven’t had to use customer service much but it is only by email which is unfortunate."
"It would be great to be able to create broader segments for campaigns."
"Automated workflows do not have control for dynamic behavioral targeting in any way."
"MailChimp’s reports on audience engagement are not the most robust."
"They have poor inbox visibility, and many of the emails went to the spam folder."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost is fair, and you end up making enough in sales to pay for it."
"MailChimp is affordable."
"I primarily use the free version, but sometimes, for specific client needs, we may have to purchase different versions or packages."
