Powerful BI tool for analyzing financial performance and stable performance
I would rate the scalability of Jedox a seven out of ten. There is room for improvement in the scalability. It is a very massive tool. It's not easy to just build everything yourself. So that's where the main improvements lie—making it easy for people to not depend on just technical finance teams. There are almost 50 to 60 users using Jedox in our organization.

Customer satisfaction and data integration shine in multinational consolidations
The best features of OneStream XF are threefold. The first is Extensible Dimensionality, which allows for different levels of detail depending on the task. When budgeting for 2026, Extensible Dimensionality enables detailed breakdowns of supplies into specific items such as printer paper and magic markers. When actuals arrive, that level of detail isn't necessary. This flexibility in collecting and reporting data is a significant advantage. OneStream XF is advantageous because it provides one product that can do everything. Users do not have to purchase separate products for consolidation, planning, and reporting, which saves time and money in training and setup. OneStream XF shows a strong commitment to customer success. While 100% satisfaction is unrealistic, OneStream XF puts in substantial effort to ensure clients are successful, which contrasts sharply with experiences from companies such as SAP. OneStream XF's data integration capabilities with ERP and HCM systems are excellent, thanks to its history. The founders of OneStream XF were the creators of Upstream, which specialized in data integration. When they developed OneStream XF, they implemented that expertise, making it excel at data integration.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is very versatile."
"We use the tool for performance management and planning."
"The Excel interface is designed to retrieve data from the database and send it back, which is a significant advantage."
"The ease of reporting is one of Jedox's most valuable features."
"The main strength of Jedox lies in mastering the navigation, especially the Excel add-in."
"The customer porting is the most valuable feature."
"The solution is quick with analysis and calculation. The tool offers high digitalization which helps us to run the controlling department with less number of people. If the software wasn't there, I would need two to three people extra to run the department."
"The EPM is the most valuable feature."
"The product's most valuable feature is extensibility."
"OneStream XF is advantageous because it provides one product that can do everything; users do not have to purchase separate products for consolidation, planning, and reporting, which saves time and money in training and setup."
"It offers great ease of use. This impacts not only the end-user experience but also the administrator's, which affects the total cost of ownership."
"We were with Oracle previously. With Oracle, you have to buy a different piece of software for every business process. If you want to do budgeting, that's a product. If you want to do consolidation, that's a product. If you want to do BI type of work, that's yet another product. So, you end up buying a lot of software from Oracle. With OneStream, it is a little different. It is a platform where you can do all those things, and you can do them with just one software purchase and then you just pay for users on it."
"OneStream XF's unified structure makes it easier for our financial consolidation and planning processes, though I would say we have a standardized way of using it and not that much forward-looking."

Cons

"I think it's the design of the report because the design and the UI for the report is standard and lame. When you see a Jedox report, it doesn't seem like it's from today, because the technology is something from the last decade. The scalability needs improvement."
"More emphasis is needed on the availability of the learning aspect of the solution. Because unless you take up their course that enables you to be an expert in creating the report, you must seek help."
"From a development perspective, there's room for improvement in the area called the designer, where you actually build your reports to make it easier to manage the process."
"Visualization is something they need to improve. We have already told them about this, and they should be working on it."
"There is not much training for Jedox."
"I don't find it particularly user-friendly."
"The solution needs to improve its support. The visualization in Microsoft BI is more modern and comfortable than Jedox's. I would expect something similar with the solution."
"Jedox should improve the design and server issues."
"We should be able to download the data in the same format we upload it."
"It's okay for collecting information and setting it up, but for business support, we don't get much from it."
"Currently, they only support one browser, and it would be good if you could use it on Chrome, Firefox, etc. It is a little frustrating that you can only use a certain Microsoft browser. They're pretty tightly aligned with Microsoft. So, I can see the reasons for it."
"AI is where I see the most innovation and progress, but it's not fully developed yet."
"There are longstanding challenges with OneStream XF, particularly around the technical aspects that require scripting skills, typically managed by finance departments."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution's pricing is specific to your requirements."
"We paid a one-time fee, which included product purchase, licensing, and first-time implementation. We are paying for the maintenance regularly."
"Excellent value for money."
"Jedox was a bit cheaper compared to Calumo."
"The product’s pricing will not be suitable for setting up a small solution."
"If you are using SAP, then you will have to take an SAP Connector license. The license across the tool is paying for the people who are using it as an admin or as a normal user. They can work out those costs in a manner that can help. This can also be a point of improvement where they can work out the costing, and the developers have a specific licensing cost. The normal users, who are going to do probably data entry or just going to view the dashboard, can have a separate license cost."
"The product has a license by the user. They're on par with other competitors."
"They price it by the user. Before discounting, it is 2,500 or something like that."
"The licensing is expensive."
