Find out in this report how the two Network Monitoring Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."
"I would say that it is an easy-to-use monitoring tool. Amongst the available monitoring tools, it is a really good option."
"This tool allows one to analyse, integrate and customize as per the systems and allows you to set your own rules."
"The great advantage of this tool is real-time monitoring."
"The NetProbe carries over 100 samplers which are capable of monitoring hardware, OS, and the application layer."
"It enables us to monitor application processes, to do log-monitoring on a 24/7 basis, to do server-level monitoring - all the hardware parameters - as well as monitor connectivity across applications to the interfaces."
"This solution has helped provide relief to existing Level 2 teams, allowing them to focus efforts on in-depth problem analysis."
"The solution's log monitoring and alerting mechanisms are very user-friendly and easy to plug and play."
"ITRS can define rules to alert when certain parameters that you monitor breach a threshold. Rules can be configured to fire recovery actions automatically to clear the alert"
"We use this solution for internal monitoring our own cloud platform because we are a public cloud provider. We also use it for monitoring purposes on behalf of our clients."
"What was very compelling about OpsView was that we could dial out the noise and have meaningful and actionable alerts."
"It's a good solution. It covers all aspects of monitoring purposes."
"The most valuable feature of Opsview is the ability to clone the services when you're monitoring something out of the test setup."
"I am satisfied with the overall product since it works well…It is a stable solution."
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."
"ITRS have started to make some major changes that we haven't taken on board yet, in the creation of dashboards and more visibility of the metrics that we collect. At the moment, that's something that's lacking, but I know they have addressed it. Still, it’s not that easy to create stuff to help with visibility and dashboarding in Geneos."
"The ITA, the post-incident analytics, could be improved."
"A lightweight version which could host more than 100 gateways, as we can see slowness while loading all our gateways."
"Much of the reporting outside of the user interface is very basic and requires much customization to be useful."
"Mobile phone integration is probably not as rich as it could be."
"Backward compatibility with deprecated features and in system documentation on what configuration areas are needed to be updated."
"One thing that could be improved in terms of rapid scaling would be more ability to clone aspects of an implementation. It seems like there are opportunities in this area, where we have repetitive tasks to do when it comes to implementing things on new servers or on new gateways. It would be great if there was an easy way to clone something that had already been done."
"For the last year or two, I've been asking the vendor about the mobile app. This is something that probably everyone asks when they see the tool and they see how powerful it is. If there is any mobile app for this or if there is any way this tool can be more easily accessible other than having a big client installed, it would be great. I know you can build dashboards, et cetera, but there is no quick and easy way. I should be able to download an app, log in, and see my status. That will put this product above everything else out there. I believe it's on their roadmap."
"Pricing and a few certain aspects in the solution needs to be improved."
"Maybe the graphical representation can be improved. It can be enhanced for better visualization. It could be a little better. And the graph center can be improved."
"Customized reporting can be improved."
"Some of the graphics on Opsview could be improved."
"In a future release, we would like to have Observ for AI. Any AI and intelligence it can add to the monitoring is obviously beneficial. We would also like to have automated callouts."
