Provides efficiency in metadata storage and implementation
Many applications perform similarly to Hive, offering metadata implementations. I'm looking into their advancements, such as aggregated joins and MBT joins. Hive's virtual implementations are evolving, and tools like Snowflake offer specific use case advancements. In future releases, the Bloomfilter function should be a part of Hive. Windowing functions should also be there. I would also like to see AI implementation.

One of the main frustrations I have is the pricing of Notion. It is really pricey; we even used to call it pretty pricey for an expensive notepad. Notion has a per-user pricing model, but I think if it was per-organization pricing with a flat rate for the whole organization regardless of how many new people join, that would be really awesome. But with their current pricing models, especially for a growing organization when scaling from ten to one hundred employees, it is going to cost a lot of money. It is ten dollars as I remember, but that is a lot because you have to pay it per person. Another issue is that sometimes their markdown editor has a great many features, but sometimes the markdown editor breaks. When I copy something from ChatGPT and paste it there, sometimes the content gets messy. Only sometimes, but when it gets messy, it is really hard to fix things up. I might have to delete the entire thing and do everything by hand. So there are some bugs related to the markdown editor, but that is not always the case. The main pain point I would say is the pricing model. I do not have more needed improvements to add regarding integrations, performance, or mobile experience. Those areas are good in my mind. I have not actually used the mobile app a lot, but from other sides that is all good. The main two needed improvements I would suggest are a better pricing model and fixes for some bugs in the markdown editor.

Pros

"It is a good solution for us when it comes to metadata implementation. It's beneficial to have metadata stored in Hive."
"It excels in handling diverse data formats and is particularly beneficial for constructing a data lake for companies with mixed data types, such as videos and structured data."
"Notion helps us to track 90% of issues."
"I think overall Notion is a great tool, but I need to learn better how to use it and adjust it to the right task."
"The initial setup is easy."
"The workflow I created with Notion definitely saved us time so that we could synthesize what we were working on and visualize it versus having a simple checklist or having to track something through chats or emails."
"That is one of the main key things we love about Notion—its minimal nature and at the same time its powerful capabilities."
"Configurability helps me because Notion provides the very basic functionality and then on top of that, I can configure whatever entities I want, whatever behavior I want, and group them in any way I want."
"The documentation creation and review of this documentation in Notion has reduced approximately 50% of the time."
"Notion is an all-in-one product, allowing us to do many things in a single place."

Cons

"In future releases, I would also like to see AI implementation."
"For smaller datasets, it may not be as suitable, and its performance might not be optimal."
"There is not anything that is a standout limitation, but if I had to pick something, it would probably be that the offline mode could be improved, as most of the time you need an active internet connection for most features."
"Notion's UI could be better."
"One of the main frustrations I have is the pricing of Notion. It is really pricey; we even used to call it pretty pricey for an expensive notepad."
"Notion has one big downside: the lack of an offline mode. If the internet or Notion's servers are down, I cannot access information. This is a big disadvantage."
"Notion can be improved, and the main downside comes from its pro feature, its configurability."
"Unfortunately, I have not seen a return on investment because I did not like it and I did not use it."
"While Notion is very strong overall, there are a few areas that could be improved to make it even better."
"I think there is currently not much detail or scope for uploading documents in terms of size limitations."
