Reliable email service has supported consistent communication and improved user training
I do use Cisco Secure Email, Grafis, and Proofpoint Email Protection when needed, but we were using Proofpoint before, and we are no longer using it. I am currently using Microsoft Exchange as our email solution. We are a client of Microsoft; there is no partnership between my company and Microsoft. My experience with Microsoft Exchange is as good as the generic email. I do not use Microsoft Exchange to synchronize emails across devices, and it is not part of my workflow. The protocols I mostly use with Microsoft Exchange for integration are SMTP. I do not use the shared calendars feature in Microsoft Exchange. Data loss prevention is something we are not really using or utilizing at the moment. My overall review rating for Microsoft Exchange is 8.

One of the premium features was customized rooms tailored to the collaboration needs
Zimbra's strength lies in its individuality, and it should focus on leveraging its unique features rather than trying to emulate competitors. My organization has certified Zimbra technicians, so we believe we can utilize Zimbra certification. However, I was recently informed by Zimbra that no such certification exists. I have recently completed the test kit, and after the training, I will gain access to tickets. Therefore, if any clients are experiencing issues, we have a certified technical team available to provide support 24/7. This is how we can cater to our client's needs. I recommend Zimbra to small-scale and enterprise customers. Anyone, even those with 5 users, can opt for Zimbra. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Pros

"Microsoft Exchange is a user-friendly and easy-to-deploy solution, which is beneficial for handling emails even without professional support."
"Our customers are satisfied with the features included in Microsoft Exchange."
"We use the solution for all communication exchanged with our team, customers, and all other internet exchanges."
"The technical support services are good."
"Exchange has helped us with encryption."
"The ability to share information, appointments, and agendas easily is the big value of Microsoft Exchange."
"The interface is user-friendly."
"The technical support is fine."
"The configuration is simple."
"Zimbra Collaboration has a good web interface."
"One of the premium features was customized rooms tailored to the collaboration needs. Many of the clients customize features such as organization logos and scanners."
"The backup and storage management features of Zimbra Collaboration are valuable."
"The most valuable feature of Zimbra for our team's productivity is its efficiency in handling email communication."
"The pricing of the solution is excellent; it's a newer solution with a modern interface and dashboard, the interface itself is very responsive and easy to navigate, the initial setup is very simple and straightforward, the stability is good and keeps getting better with each new update, and the solution really does scale very easily."
"The Zimbra Collaboration's most valuable feature is web access."
"Zimbra Collaboration is light to manage. It works on the Linux operating system, which is far better to manage than Microsoft Windows. Microsoft Exchange works only on the Windows server. We prefer working on the Linux server for security reasons and ease of management. Zimbra Collaboration also has some integrated tools for security. It some modules to fight malware. These modules are not very powerful but are still doing a great job. Microsoft Exchange doesn't have a basic module. You have to purchase a security solution and add it to the solution. The cost of Zimbra Collaboration is one more reason for liking it. It is also very simple to migrate from Zimbra Collaboration to another email solution."

Cons

"Technical support could be improved. It takes you a while to get through to a technician, especially on the Microsoft side."
"Areas of Microsoft Exchange that have room for improvement could use some deeper thinking."
"There can be occasional challenges during the product's implementation phase, making it an area where improvements are needed."
"Microsoft Exchange could improve by adding artificial intelligence."
"There is a lot of spam email that comes in, so they should add functionality to help fix this problem."
"The price of Microsoft Exchange could improve, it is priced high."
"Deployment should become a bit easier, the process is a bit complicated. You have to have done it one or two times before you get it right. The first time you do it, it won't be perfect. There are a lot of complications compared to Gmail For Business, which is a bit easier when it comes to configuration."
"An area for improvement would be the convenience of working with Azure services from Exchange on-premise installations."
"There can be difficulties resolving problems on the server side when problems arise."
"Zimbra should provide a desktop client. Right now, we are using a web browser for accessing our emails. There should also be a desktop client."
"Zimbra Collaboration's video conferencing could be improved."
"I would like to see a Microsoft schedule function added."
"The antispam and antivirus features are hard to understand on mobile devices."
"There are some bugs we found that could be fixed."
"The new patches are, at times, not so good, so we don't install them, causing the tool to be not so stable overall."
"They should enhance its online meeting features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Compared to the other options in the market, the licensing costs attached to Microsoft Exchange seem reasonable."
"Licensing fees are paid monthly."
"They are flexible when it comes to pricing, unlike most of the other vendors I have dealt with."

"The solution's pricing is fine...I do think the tool offers value for money."
"There are different prices depending on the customer's use cases and amount of users. The price of the solution could improve."
"We renew the product license with Microsoft every three years. The cost is included within a bundle of services. It's an enterprise agreement with Microsoft."
"I don't have enough information about the licensing costs of Microsoft Exchange, but I do know that you need two types of licenses to run it. You need the product key and the client access key to activate Microsoft Exchange. This means that apart from the standard Microsoft Exchange licensing fees, you have to pay additional costs."
"Zimbra Collaboration offers a good price-to-feature ratio."
"When it comes to the licensing of Zimbra Collaboration, my license covers the servers and I find its terms to be much simpler than those of Microsoft Exchange."
