User-friendly, cheap, and quick to set up
It's actually quite easy to set it up. You can change your upgrade plan at any time. The pricing is reasonable. The support was also very good. They are great at helping you set it up. Overall, it's user-friendly. I like that you can also use different servers, which I used in Europe or in different contexts. The reporting is okay. I can get notifications via email, which is nice. Everything is immediate and in real-time.

Centralized cloud testing has improved global load generation and real-time performance insights
The most valuable features I have found in OpenText Core Performance Engineering (LoadRunner Cloud) are that everything is online and centralized, so I do not need to go anywhere to check the configuration and everything. OpenText Core Performance Engineering (LoadRunner Cloud)'s advanced analytics help identify performance bottlenecks because whenever we are executing the test scripts, it shows a good analytics view where we can simply check which APIs are not performing well. The cloud-based load generators in OpenText Core Performance Engineering (LoadRunner Cloud) have benefited my testing setup because we can generate the load across the globe, which was previously a little bit difficult on the on-premises version. The user interface in OpenText Core Performance Engineering (LoadRunner Cloud) is intuitive and this will be easy to communicate and collaborate amongst the team also because sharing the online URL with the team, they can simply check the analysis and everything.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The pricing is reasonable."
"LoadView is a flexible solution, which protects your investments."
"The initial setup is easy, and if you need more help, they are there to assist."
"LoadView is a perfect cloud-based load testing tool."
"The most useful features of OpenText LoadRunner Cloud include getting load through the Performance Center, which is part of the cloud version, where we can monitor CPU and memory utilization, and response times."
"This software solution has allowed us to run larger, high concurrency performance testing cycles in a very repetitive manner…a requirement for validating our application solutions and supporting infrastructure for customer facing web apps."
"The fact that the solution supports multiple protocols such as open source, VuGen, TruWeb, TruClient, and SAP is very important because these protocols help us to concentrate on what is really needed to produce performance tests. If something is not supported, you have to use other tools or find other ways of assimilating loads."
"It's fast, easy to use, has a user-friendly UI, and you can split users."
"Before LoadRunner, we weren't even testing performance and now we're performance testing."
"I would rate OpenText LoadRunner Cloud a ten out of ten for scalability."
"This solution is SaaS based so we can utilize cloud technology, which is less time consuming and saves a lot of of money."
"Customer Service is immaculate."

Cons

"A lot of time you start the stress testing, and you sign the log in again, and I want to get rid of that. It's just not clear to me how to do it yet."
"If I do the web application test, I want to bypass a login part."
"We encounter hurdles while running the professional version for on-premise setup."
"Reporting and analysis need improvement. Compared to the old school LoadRunner Windows application, the reporting and analysis are mediocre in LoadRunner Cloud."
"The support team provides delayed responses."
"Its scripting features need improvement."
"This vendor, Micro Focus, is not very good at technical support."
"I think the report page could be improved, although we have used the reporting feature."
"StormRunner is very rudimentary at this time, but it's a great concept."
"Improvements to the reporting would be good."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"You can buy plans that range from free to $500 a month."
"It is neither costly nor cheap. It is not too high and not too low. I know the price of other tools, and LoadRunner Cloud's price is in the medium range."
"LoadRunner always had expensive pricing. At my company, we used to evaluate LoadRunner, but we stuck with Silk Performer because its pricing was always better in the past. I do feel that I got a fair deal this time. Our value-added reseller and our sales guy worked hard to give us a fair deal. I feel that we got a fair deal. We did not go for the pay-as-you-go deal. I did an upfront package. I prefer that. I want to know what my costs are."
"The pricing is very reasonable and the licensing is straightforward."
"There is no monthly or yearly cost but rather, the fees are based on the amount of traffic that you use."
"The pricing for OpenText LoadRunner Cloud is average."
"The solution’s price is considerably high."
"The solution is expensive."
"It's a very expensive solution"
