Useful to monitor and track any suspicious activities
I rate the tool's deployment ease as five out of ten. In our situation, our team doesn't understand what it means to configure your solution properly. Because in the end, if any security solution isn't configured correctly, it won't provide optimal protection. So, it's very clear that we need to balance the gaps in our team's skills and what the vendors can do to cover those gaps for us. The tool's agents are deployed on-premises and connect to a very secure API to a cloud console. From the cloud console, you start managing and controlling the workstation configurations. Deployment took a few days because it included extensive orientation for our team members.

Helps users keep track of everything from one place
The most valuable features of the solution stem from the fact that we can track all of it in one place across all those different locations. Because it's cloud-based and reports up to the cloud, we also have access to the back end, and an incident response team monitors all incidents. We also have an escalation process in place. From my perspective, there are other pieces of CrowdStrike that the security architect team uses as well, but I don't get involved with those as much. I usually just wait for the end results or the notification if I need to get involved if there is an incident.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product is fairly new compared to others like Trend Micro or Symantec. However, it offers sophisticated features, especially in scanning and analyzing activities on workstations or servers. It can prevent malicious operations from spreading to other applications or the network. This feature is particularly effective because it operates at the IO level, unlike behavior or signature analysis used by other products. It contains threats and alerts administrators about whether they are false positives or real threats that need immediate action or support recommendations."
"One of the most valuable features is its around-the-clock, 365-day-a-year online technical support."
"The exposure management covers vulnerability management in discovery."
"With the support of the CrowdStrike team, I rate them a ten out of ten."
"It has good visibility, works well, and it is fast."
"The stability is great for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete."
"Falcon Complete's best feature is detection. The interface is also user-friendly."
"It is a major anti-malware solution. It can stop zero-day attacks and ransomware attacks. There are so many features in CrowdStrike. Falcon Overwatch is a valuable module. It is lightweight on the endpoints. It doesn't have any scanning mechanism. It works on artificial intelligence, static analysis, and dynamic analysis. There is no signature available on this. It is a pretty easy solution. It is cloud-based, so there is no driver maintenance or anything like that. You can go anywhere in the world. If you have internet, you'll get connected to the cloud and the policies that it contains. It is pretty simple."
"Falcon Complete's best features are its detailed reporting and user-friendliness."
"The AI and the group knowledge base that they get from having multiple clients in the cloud is very useful to us."

Cons

"They should consider adopting the desktop version as a solution."
"I think having a higher level of MDR would be beneficial, although it's quite expensive. This would involve not just monitoring the network but also taking actions to stop and detect threats. We haven't implemented this yet, but we're considering it for our organization's plans."
"The one issue with Falcon Complete is that it can't be run manually if you find any viruses or malicious files in a post."
"I think the overall user experience for the operations team could be improved. The dashboard could be more effective, like Microsoft Defender. Microsoft worked on refining the user experience. The security monitoring tools could be simpler and more user-friendly. Integration with the application layer might be another area for improvement."
"They are doing very well in continuously improving their product. The only thing is that it is completely cloud-based, and some customers don't really like that type of approach, but you can only provide such a solution when you have cloud-based intelligence. On the other end, we know that it is sometimes a breaking point for some of the customers. They could potentially have an on-prem or hybrid solution. Any antivirus needs to have its features updated. If there could be a relay between them, it would be helpful, but that's very hard to do. So, you either accept that approach and have the benefit with this little disadvantage."
"The downside is that if you are using a device offline, not connected to the internet, you will potentially have exposure."
"The only aspect where we've offered feedback for potential enhancement is essentially the user experience."
"Pricing is definitely a problem. It could be cheaper for licensing."
"Their UI is a bit noisy."
"I have found customer support to be fairly good but it could be quicker."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing falls within the moderate range."
"The tool's pricing is high compared to other products. If you want to target a certain quantity, it should provide discounts to enterprises."
"Pricing is reasonable."
"The licenses are sold per user."
"The pricing is a little bit higher than other OEM competitors in the market, like SentinelOne and Trend Micro."
"There are different lengths of licenses available, such as three and five years. The price of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is expensive."
"CrowdStrike has a reasonable price."
"Falcon Complete isn't too pricy."
"The licensing cost for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is fair, and I would give it a five out of five. You have to pay per device/user."
"We pay 40,000 euros to use this solution."
