One-click meeting access and seamless integration enhance video conferencing experience
Cisco TelePresence could improve the WebRTC connections, as they are quite slow. The end user experiences delays when using WebRTC, sometimes taking one minute or more to receive a connection. This issue is mainly due to Cisco taking a long time to download and start the WebRTC client on their devices. Ensuring it is embedded in the device could help.

Have streamlined daily workflow and task management but still face inconvenience from recent interface changes and limited integration options
There are challenges and issues in Microsoft Teams, such as after recent updates where group chats were combined with Teams, chats, and groups into one. Users have to work with settings to make it normal again so Teams are separated from chats, and that was a really inconvenient update. Many users ask me to help make it back again to separate Teams and groups from one-to-one chats. That's probably the worst update they've made recently. Additionally, there are some minor features, such as when I work with messages, I don't have an actual forward or quote option when replying to someone's message. I need to be careful not to miss the quote sign. For a lot of people, they are confused about where the quotes option is. I've received a couple of hundred support tickets just regarding this issue. The function to share email to Teams chat doesn't work sometimes due to our compliance policies, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to forward an email to the group chat and have further discussions. Microsoft Teams could improve by being less glitchy because it glitches a lot, leading to undelivered emails and undelivered messages. It would be beneficial if the MS application Shifts, which adds functionality to groups, could be integrated into the groups calendar. Currently, many teams don't use the app because it is not integrated with the general calendar or the Outlook calendar, making it basically a useless application. The platform needs less Copilot and more people. The general Copilot integration into the platform is less glitchy, but Microsoft Teams is quite heavy and glitchy sometimes. Stability depends a lot on compliance restrictions, policies, and quality of internet. Sometimes, when updates are enrolling, the platform glitches, breaks, or shuts down.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"If at any point we require any support or our team requires any support, we just call into the Cisco support with their call-in number and they are very good."
"Telepresence's most valuable feature is keeping highly paid employees, such as executives, on the ground instead of wasting time flying around the world. So if you have the right telepresence plan and form, it's not just the video cameras and the systems behind them, it's the way you lay out your meeting room. You can have multiple offices interconnecting in a single meeting, and it looks like everybody's in the same big conference room together because the telepresence yields such a fantastic amount of clarity."
"Superior video and audio experience."
"PresenterTrack cameras improve the meeting experience."
"The speaker tracker feature in Cisco Telepresence is highly valuable, especially the ability to track multiple participants and change focus during meetings."
"It was stable. So, I would rate the stability a ten out of ten."
"Cisco is a leader in video conferencing solutions because they apply the latest technologies to their devices and services, such as artificial intelligence and versatile functionalities."
"The SpeakerTrack feature is the most valuable feature."
"We primarily use the solution for communication within our function teams, and we use it for project organization."
"Sharing documents in real-time has been incredibly helpful."
"The solution is simple and present in many devices at one time."
"The solution's most valuable feature is connecting calls to concerned people anytime. It works much faster."
"Microsoft Teams is much easier to collaborate, and its meetings are quite easy to explain things."
"File sharing is the most valuable feature."
"The most valuable features of Microsoft Teams are the ease of use, and it is very good for a small virtual office for meetings and calendars which sync well together."
"I think what the team likes most is the improvements when it comes to communication."

Cons

"Cisco TelePresence could improve its integration capabilities."
"MX800 comes only with one available DVI port. A few more HDMI ports will improve the system's capability."
"The calling features can be improved."
"Cisco TelePresence license is expensive and should be reduced."
"I was in touch with one of our clients and they mentioned that they would like to have a holographic video conferencing. It would be great if that feature would be added."
"Cisco TelePresence could improve the WebRTC connections, as they are quite slow."
"I would rate my experience with the initial setup a three out of ten, with ten being expensive. It was complex with badges and certificates. Too crazy."
"The tool is expensive."
"We face issues related to screen-sharing and stability. It is very difficult to get Microsoft's support to troubleshoot the issues. The product also needs to update its recording features."
"Sometimes, other participants cannot see the shared screen during meetings. The tool also needs to automatically switch to devices as we change them. When I try to switch audio from speaker to Bluetooth, I have to manually do that."
"I don't like it very much, but I have to use it because it's the standard in the organization for communication."
"Microsoft Teams should include the possibility of creating questionnaires or polls during webinars, whereby the people watching can answer the questionnaires in real time."
"It would be better if Microsoft Teams can link us to the internet on the screen sharing mode during the meeting."
"Since Microsoft Teams is a typical Microsoft product, inviting guest users to the conversation can be problematic if they're not in the active directory."
"One time the product was basically freezing. I couldn't send a message to my colleague for some reason."
"I would like to receive fewer updates from Microsoft Teams."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We used high definition, 1080p, but again, it required license purchases. For example, with three licenses (TP licenses), each allowing one 1080p screen, if I had six participants, I'd need to lower the resolution to 720p or lower to accommodate more participants. More licenses meant more cost."
"The price of Cisco Telepresence is high, especially in Brazil. However, the quality of the product justifies the cost."
"I will rate the tool's pricing an eight out of ten."
"Cisco TelePresence license is expensive and should be reduced. There is only a cost for the license and it is annually."
"The pricing is expensive, therefore I rate it an eight out of ten."
"There is a need to pay for the licensing... I know that the payments are made on a yearly basis...There are no extra costs in addition to the standard licensing."
"You don't buy only the Teams license; you buy it as part of the Microsoft 365 bundle."
"It is affordable because it also includes the licenses on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office and SharePoint."
"The solution is affordable."
"The solution's cost is high."
"Microsoft Teams is expensive compared to other solutions."
"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten. Its pricing is fixed."
"The solution's pricing is average."
