Generates revenue through service offering while needing additional safety features
The primary use case for Cisco Secure Client, including AnyConnect, is as a VPN for remote access I use AnyConnect because I have Cisco infrastructure. It utilizes certificates, which allows for automatic setup. The security features are beneficial, and the whole idea of the app is that it should…

A stable service with good support and little downtime
The best aspects of GoodAccess include: 1. Support system (available 24/7, quick to respond, and highly knowledgeable). GoodAccess offers a very available professional support service - it can be via chat service, email, or phone. The relevant representative was very professional, and responsive questions were answered in a prompt manner. 2. Stable service. Since we rely daily on a VPN to connect with multiple connections, VPN stability is crucial to us. in that sense, GoodAccess never fails. In the two or more years we have been using this service, there have been only one or two downtimes. each for 20 minutes or less. That's impressive.

Pros

"The solution is very easy to use and set up."
"This solution is stable. There have been no technical issues."
"The solution is stable and reliable."
"This is a stable solution."
"Cisco Secure Client's AnyConnect VPN's reliability has been absolutely wonderful, as well as the ability to connect from any network, regardless of location."
"On Cisco's side, the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) story is quite valuable."
"The setup is quick and easy on the client-side."
"The solution is secure and has a lot of benefits."
"GoodAccess simplified our infrastructure and how we interact with clients."
"This simple, stable, affordable VPN solution scaled with us over the first year of use, allowing for an expansion of remote/hybrid workers to remotely access key systems otherwise restricted to our internal office network."
"The solution has easy-to-use administration and offers an easy implementation."
"Static IP Addresses with multiple gateway options per team allow us to set up different teams with different network accesses."
"The speed of the connections is excellent. We have two gateways set up, one for the East Coast US and one for West Coast. Both have excellent speed and the GoodAccess team allowed us to test several gateways to determine which worked best for us prior to locking in the gateways."
"The solution's robustness has meant that our team, regardless of where they're located, feels as though they're working right from the office, having secure and quick access to all essential tools."
"GoodAccess is allowing us to give first-hand support and access to critical client systems, in a secure way."
"The most valuable aspects of the solution are the static IP and speed."

Cons

"It should implement something like a kill switch."
"Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client would be perfect if it weren't for the fingerprint feature."
"Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client is a stable solution. However, there have been times it has not worked and I needed to call our IT department. It could be more stable."
"More frequent updates would be ideal."
"Cisco Secure Client (including AnyConnect) is somewhat expensive compared to others such as Fortinet or Palo Alto, which provide free VPN when the firewall is purchased."
"All Cisco equipment tends to be expensive compared to newer options from other vendors."
"The support could be more proactive in their recommendations. I noticed that the Cisco support agents tend to leave customers to do what they need to do in many ways, and you can choose how you want to do it. However, it would be great if they could proactively be involved in best practices and let other customers know how most people are doing it."
"Improvements could be made in terms of pricing and ease of setup."
"For small organizations, it works great. However, the larger the organization, the more scalable the pricing model, the better, since gateways can be very expensive if an organization needs multiple gateways."
"It would be useful to see the weekly usage information within the program itself and a dashboard for all usage data."
"Enhancing the user interface and experience could make it more intuitive for all users."
"The price tier is not suited for small teams."
"This past year, I did not like having to purchase an upgrade to a plan with a minimum number of seats to get the features we needed. We do not use all of the seats."
"The installable app's occasional bugs have caused disruptions for some users, impacting smooth usage."
"The interface could provide more extensive information regarding the occurrence of threats. Currently, it only displays rudimentary threat data."
"I've found some bugs."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not a free solution and the user needs to buy license."
"My company has a three-year or a four-year license. In scenarios attached to a solution where the product may be reaching an end-of-support or end-of-life phase, Cisco provides OS support in such environments."
"The solution is based on an annual licensing model and is expensive."
"It costs around 80,000 Indian rupees for a hundred licenses, so approximately $1,020 USD."
"We pay for an annual subscription. Additionally to the subscription, we thought in order to connect this solution to the Active Directory we had to purchase a Cisco ACS, Access Control System. It turns out we did not actually need it."
"Sometimes there is a problem with the number of licenses for the end-user. The number of concurrent users is limited due to a valid license."
"We have yearly licensing and it's very affordable."
"The solution is reasonably priced and costs $600 for a five-year license in our scenario."
