Secure remote work empowers seamless technical support and troubleshooting while boosting user confidence
Sometimes the client updates cause minor disruption. It would be great if the updates were smooth and didn't require users to restart and reconfigure the settings. It would also be very helpful to have a more detailed connection diagnostic built into the client. That way, if a user has an issue, they can see what's wrong without always needing IT support. For example, if there is an issue with their internal application, the client and the VPN client could show that there is an issue with that particular application, not with the VPN or our data center. I give it a nine because there are some points that Check Point needs to work on, which I have explained earlier in my review. It should provide us with a proper diagnostic report so that the end user will always know about what the issue is. If the user is facing any issue, they have to come to IT support.

Reliable remote access and tunneling enhance work efficiency, but upgrade processes need improvement
Ivanti needs improvement in its seamless upgrade and migration procedures, particularly with the browser components, which are fragile and sometimes cause issues depending on the Windows version, the browser version, and the different modules being used. On the client side, browser-initiated sessions are complex and require a more robust approach for non-admin users.

Pros

"Among its most valuable features is how it quickly and easily connects everyone to the VPN service."
"The most valuable point is that it provides multi-factor authentication (MFA), which increases security by requiring an add-on verification method and ensures that only authorized users have access to the network."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has positively impacted my organization by improving productivity and given us a workaround in times of downtime."
"We have more control over the activity that users have on the internal network, thanks to the monitoring offered by Check Point and the security provided by the gateway."
"The team has full visibility of the users that connect allowing them to keep control of who is in the network and what data they are allowing to come in and out."
"The solution has been solid for me for over five years."
"Thanks to all these security processes, our users can access our infrastructure with the certainty that we will not be compromised."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has some useful features, and configuring it is relatively straightforward."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"I can safely say this is one of the best solutions I have seen for VPN access. It can achieve what other vendors may not be able to. This product will train you about exactly what an SSL should be. You can leverage it to do whatever you wish, the way you wish to do it. This is the solution if you want a perfectly scalable product for your enterprise that can help your mobile users and integrate with the latest technologies."
"The most valuable features of the solution are reliability and uptime."
"VPN tunneling is a very valuable feature of Pulse Connect Secure. I also like that it is straightforward to use, and you can see traffic logs on it."
"It's quite stable."
"Ivanti Connect Secure provides the feature to check and ensure that employee devices are compliant before allowing them to access the VPN."
"What I like the most about Pulse Connect Secure is that it's user-friendly. It's easy to use. You just need to connect, and that's it."
"The product is easy to use."

Cons

"There were some issues with automation and instability."
"I would like to see features added to Check Point Remote Access VPN that allow for easier authentication with MFA, and I also want to see a chatbot, an AI chatbot that can help me and my colleagues with issues if they have some."
"Compliance Check on Check Point should be improved by having more configurable conditions to support multi-platforms and adding more granularity."
"Sometimes the client updates cause minor disruption. It would be great if the updates were smooth and didn't require users to restart and reconfigure the settings."
"The main area for improvement is pricing. Another area could be integrating MFA authentication directly into the solution instead of using separate benchmark tools for implementation."
"In my organization, there aren't Linux users, however, I know it has difficulties offering secure access for customers who use this operating system."
"There was complexity in the initial setup."
"I would like this service to be easier to manage when you integrate it with third parties."
"Ivanti needs improvement in its seamless upgrade and migration procedures, particularly with the browser components, which are fragile and sometimes cause issues depending on the Windows version, the browser version, and the different modules being used."
"We want to switch to another solution because there are some challenges with the support from Pulse. The quality of documentation is also not good. It is sometimes very hard to find documentation that provides a solution and describes how all this works."
"The solution must be more user-friendly."
"Connection-wise, Pulse Connect Secure could be faster, and this is its area for improvement."
"I don't have any downsides to report about the product at this time."
"The product's price is an area where improvements are required."
"Pulse Connect Secure could improve the reporting, it is lacking in detail and should take the report automatically."
"Ivanti Connect Secure needs to have faster connections. It also needs to improve the stability."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Check Point Remote Access VPN is not expensive and the cost is annual."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"Organizations that already have the Check Point NGFW need to purchase an additional license to have access to the VPN functionality."
"The price of this product is good."
"Regarding pricing, as a global customer, we get a big discount. For us, it's a good return on investment. We need to pay for additional features we want to enable. It seems cheaper than other vendors, but I can't say what it would cost an average customer."
"The product is expensive. I rate its pricing a ten out of ten. For the cost of one product, we could purchase two or three Fortinet solutions with the same amount of money."
"The solution is pretty expensive. The rating is an eight."
"My understanding is that the pricing and licensing are very competitive, and it's not one of their more expensive products. We buy licenses for the solution and have licenses for the endpoint servers."
"The pricing is quite nominal. We pay on a yearly basis."
"The pricing for Pulse Connect Secure is not low and not high, so it's good. It's a six out of ten for me, price-wise."
"I rate the product price a six to seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"A license is required for you to use Pulse Connect Secure, but I'm not aware of how much it costs."
"Pulse Connect Secure is relatively cost-effective."
"The cost of the product is high, but worth it because of the utility and great product support."
