Has improved security and enabled remote work flexibility across teams
The best features Check Point Remote Access VPN offers are its security features, which stand out to me. Whenever we are giving the remote access VPN to any employees or vendors, we can specify and control particular access. If we want to give access to a particular IP only, we can achieve that via this feature, and we also apply security features such as antivirus and anti-spyware while giving access to any employees or partners. The ability to control and specify access with Check Point Remote Access VPN, such as limiting to particular IPs or applying antivirus and anti-spyware, makes our environment safe from cyber threats and any types of malicious activities or accessing our private data. We control this through the feature by applying security policies that allow particular users. After deploying Check Point Remote Access VPN solution, I can say that our productivity has maximized. Users are working from home and even working 24/7. If they want, they can access our resources at any time, providing flexibility to work from anywhere. Employees say that sometimes they are not available during the working hour, but they can work from home at their flexible timing, needing access to our private network resources. They sit at home or any remote site and connect to our network to work, which is very good.

Remote work has become simpler and cost-saving but reliability still needs consistent improvement
CloudConnexa can be improved, particularly because they have many features, but they do have stability issues. I see many times where the stability is not good, and I have seen a few outages with a huge ETA for those outages. It takes a while for them to give a proper ETA, and they often come up with workarounds that I need to run for a long time to address stability. For the log stream, they have a facility to forward logs, but they do not have a good dashboard to filter those logs in their dashboard itself, which for troubleshooting often contains meaningless information. The support is good, and they respond immediately, but the stability issues and the engineering work need to be improved. Stability and logging are the main areas that need improvement.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool is easy to configure and use. We integrated it with Active Directory to manage user authentication. It's intuitive and transparent, making it simple for users to use. It connects automatically to the VPN whenever users turn on the laptop. The product is efficient and offers centralized control."
"This solution allows users to connect from any location, is very flexible, lets us easily control access and view usage statistics, and we are happy with the overall stability, easy configuration on the gateway side, and ease of deploying clients to endstations."
"The security and reliability we are receiving are exceptional."
"The initial setup is not complex, and with the Kryon system it makes it easier for the user because we have known this product for a while, so it's not a problem to configure the system."
"The biggest advantage of Check Point Remote Access VPN is that we already use the Check Point firewall. We only needed to enable the feature and do the configuration in order to enable the VPN feature. We didn't need to buy or manage new hardware."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has positively impacted our organization by allowing easier management of remote users, and it also gives us better insight into logging behind the scenes."
"The advanced malware protection and the sandboxing features are very valuable as they perform well, with detection being very high."
"Our users find the interface very comfortable to use."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is very positive. The pricing is straightforward; it is the most affordable solution available."
"CloudConnexa has positively impacted my organization by providing greater security while accessing sensitive files and enabling a hybrid work culture for our teams so that they can connect and work from their homes while accessing the office."

Cons

"The endpoint security VPN client sometimes feels heavy, and due to this, we have to install and uninstall it because of PC slowness. This aspect can be improved."
"Knowledge base documentation can be upgraded."
"Despite being very intuitive, the interface needs improvements."
"One area that could be improved is the complexity of setting up Check Point Remote Access VPN, particularly with features like multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and identity awareness. Deploying these solutions requires higher technical expertise than other solutions."
"They could add more features, like the security to block off the doors, or create another hatch, something like this. They could make the features safer, add malware to make my mail and the Kryon system safer and to protect data at an earlier stage."
"Automations for cloud integrations need to be expanded, and currently, developers have to manually configure APIs, which is not developer-centric."
"I think Check Point Remote Access VPN can be improved as it's more of an annoyance for a good number of the clients because it doesn't save their credentials."
"I cannot see the full effect of the endpoint solution because it relies on having access to the DNF queries, which might not go through the Check Point firewall when you're using it for perimeter networks. Check Point will not identify the actual source of the net queries. This may be related to the architecture, however, and not poor product issues. I don't know if it can be improved on the Check Point side or not."
"The reason I chose an eight out of ten is that although updates are available, it does not show to auto-update, and I feel that a sensitive application such as this should always be updated to the latest version."
"CloudConnexa can be improved, particularly because they have many features, but they do have stability issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I can say that the licensing costs are charged annually."
"I give the price of the solution a five out of ten."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"Organizations that already have the Check Point NGFW need to purchase an additional license to have access to the VPN functionality."
"The product is expensive. I rate its pricing a ten out of ten. For the cost of one product, we could purchase two or three Fortinet solutions with the same amount of money."
"My company makes yearly payments only towards the licensing costs attached to Check Point Remote Access VPN, as there are no extra costs attached to the product."
"Regarding pricing, as a global customer, we get a big discount. For us, it's a good return on investment. We need to pay for additional features we want to enable. It seems cheaper than other vendors, but I can't say what it would cost an average customer."
"The solution is pretty expensive. The rating is an eight."
