Remote Access Security Reinforced with Real-Time Device Protection
Dashboard customization is needed for improvements. While the centralized management is strong, the dashboard could offer more flexibility. It would be helpful to tailor views for different roles, such as IT or security support. Regarding needed improvements, custom report building could be enhanced. Current reports are informative, and a drag-and-drop builder would allow teams to create tailored views for compliance, executive summaries, or operational metrics. For further improvements, enhancing threat simulation and testing would be valuable. Building a threat simulation tool and adding native capabilities to simulate phishing, malware, or ransomware scenarios will help teams validate protection and train users without relying on third-party tools.

Cross-platform capability enhances security integration
The single agent, combined with the EDR system, delivers additional information and data for the EDR. Regarding the use cases, or maybe it fits better into another question about the motivation of the customers, I can see two approaches. The first approach is where the customer has an existing EDR system running, and their contract comes to an end. They are looking to either prolong it, renew it, continue with the current system, or look for something cheaper or better. When they reevaluate the contract, it's a sales approach to suggest that for a similar amount of money, not very much more, they can get something much better. It's not only a plain EDR or plain antivirus system - it's antivirus plus EDR. The difference in price is not much. Especially for the antivirus, the cross-platform capability is significant, as it's for Windows and Linux workstations and servers. Having one system for all platforms is essential. This has helped in two ways. The majority of customers want one thing for all, however, some customers definitely want two systems, servers separated from workstations. I have a big data center for banks, and they separate Windows Servers from Linux Servers. It is important for them to have two different systems. By providing this multi-operating system capability, I have engaged with customers via the Linux servers because the Windows servers are handled differently, so they were looking for a second different system, which opened the door for us.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It was probably one of the easiest products I've ever had to deploy, and I set it up and deployed it all from a mobile phone on a beach in about 20 minutes."
"The biggest value we found was ease of deployment. I haven't really used it much, so I can't really comment beyond that. I haven't used it much, but it's working."
"The most valuable feature of Check Point Harmony Endpoint is centralized management."
"It is one of the fastest malware prevention software with advanced upgrades to have 360-degree threat detection and system remediation."
"The security is its most valuable feature."
"One of the coolest features is that it provides an HTML report on the laptop and the endpoint console for the administrator."
"The overall features and data loss prevention makes it a valuable product in every way."
"Endpoint security is a client-server managed network protection program that blocks unauthorized software, malware, and viruses from entering the network and each client machine and can be set up company specific to block specific file extensions or other devices from accessing the network."
"I would rate the overall product as an eight out of ten."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its AI detection algorithm part, which helps and is Cybereason's way of detecting the unknown, not just the signature-based threats."
"Especially for the antivirus, the cross-platform capability is significant, as it's for Windows and Linux workstations and servers."
"The tool's detection range works fine. Its most valuable features are its ease of employment and lightweightness. It's not heavy on resources. We focus on malware and ransomware detection."

Cons

"The response from the tool's support team, which starts with L1, is something my company doesn't find helpful, especially when compared to the other solutions that we use."
"More applications should be supported."
"One area that could be improved about Check Point Harmony Endpoint is the user interface for policy management. It is functional, but not very intuitive, especially when trying to set granular rules or exceptions."
"There is room for improvement in detecting more sophisticated and emerging threats."
"I would like to see this same solution being able to link with the services of different corporate networks as if they were a remote access VPN extension and thus not require additional licenses."
"They should also add new functions such as threat hunting."
"Dashboard customization is needed for improvements. While the centralized management is strong, the dashboard could offer more flexibility."
"The automatic updates use my internet during downloads before I authorize them."
"Cybereason Next-Generation Antivirus is not available in the local language, which can be inconvenient."
"Integrating other tools is sometimes an issue when using Cybereason Next-Generation Antivirus."
"I have been told several times that the stability of the sensor, not the back end, is an issue."
"I have been told several times that the stability of the sensor, not the back end, is an issue."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing cost for Check Point is $3 USD or $4 USD per end-user."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The price is good."
"Licensing comes free in that first year or is included in the base package. From a commercial point of view, it really just is the renewal cost, rather than a one-time fixed cost or buy-in."
"We are paying 2,50,000 Sri Lankan Rupees annually which is the fixed charge."
"We pay roughly 80,000 Swedish krona per year. When it comes to the firewall, it's roughly 150,000 Swedish krona yearly. There's also maintenance, of course, which is roughly 10,000 krona per month."
"Price-wise, the product is affordable. There are no additional costs apart from the licensing charges that are attached to the product."
"We implement this solution with a yearly subscription and there are no extra costs."
"I rate the solution's pricing a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"I rate the solution's pricing a four out of ten. Its pricing is justified."
