Phishing prevention and advanced threat protection have improved security for remote workers
Some of the best features that Check Point Harmony Browse offers include real-time phishing and malware protection, which inspects website links in real time and blocks phishing attempts and malicious downloads before they reach the user. Zero-day threat prevention, including built-in zero-day prevention, is a significant differentiator. It provides a seamless user experience since it runs directly inside the browser without slowing down browsing or requiring a VPN. This allows employees to securely access web and SaaS resources without realizing there's an extra layer of security. These features make a big difference for our team and company, such as in a particular situation where it helped us. We received a fake O365 page that posed a sophisticated phishing threat, and instead of relying solely on user awareness, Check Point Harmony Browse blocked the site in real time. This action prevented credential compromise and saved our security team from a potential incident response. Another crucial feature is the smooth integration with SaaS applications such as Teams, Zoom, or Google, which does not interfere with their operation. Users don't even notice there is any security tool running; it feels like security without friction.

The App Control feature in the Fortinet FortiProx * Deep Packet Inspection (DPI): FortiProxy analyzes traffic at the application layer to detect applications even if they use non-standard ports or are encrypted. * Application Signatures: Uses FortiGuard’s application signature database (constantly updated) to recognize thousands of applications. * Policy Enforcement: You can create policies to Allow, Block, Monitor, or Shape (QoS) based on application type, category, or specific apps.

Pros

"Implementing Check Point Harmony Browse has significantly strengthened our company's web security by reducing exposure to phishing and malware attacks."
"Its Nano Agent, which integrates with the browser, is incredibly invisible to the user and the computer since it does not require much performance."
"It provides end-to-end encryption for the communication between the user's device and the remote browser, which helps to protect against eavesdropping and other forms of man-in-the-middle attacks."
"We needed to provide advanced security to these teams with a reliable tool, which could help protect against phishing, malware, and especially ransomware - since it is one of the most damaging threats today, and this tool fulfills what we were looking for in an incredible way."
"Among its most important features is the integration of its analytics."
"This tool installs a very small agent in browsers. It does not cause performance problems on the host computer, which makes it less annoying for users."
"The downloaded protection as it scans and emulates the files on a browser level is great."
"Its potential features of Threat Detection and Threat Emulation have helped businesses to browse securely hassle-free without any tension."
"I liked the tool's ability to provide detailed access control. For example, we could allow users to watch YouTube videos but not post comments. This level of control wasn't available in FortiGate."
"The App Control feature in the Fortinet FortiProxy Deep Packet Inspection (DPI): FortiProxy analyzes traffic at the application layer to detect applications even if they use non-standard ports or are encrypted."
"The solution's stability is good."

"Support must be faster in solving problems."
"In terms of improvements for Check Point Harmony Browse, we felt that it could have more customizable integration, especially with non-Check Point products, because in some environments, they are not 100% Check Point."
"Fortinet FortiProxy should integrate AI/ML technologies. Its pricing needs to be more flexible."
"Integration with existing infrastructure was generally easy, especially if you had tools like LDAP. However, I had to go through a lot of documentation as it was my first time working with a proxy server. We did experience some issues with certain web applications not working properly after implementing Fortinet FortiProxy."
"Its power supply process for some of the proxies needs improvement."
