Unified vulnerability data has reduced risk and currently cuts duplicate tools and license costs
Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time. I had to do some of that manually via manual reports, but Seemplicity already has a feature request for this. Seemplicity has done a pretty good job of keeping up with integrations. One gap that I identified and that Seemplicity is trying to fill now is having a complete end-to-end mapping. Seemplicity currently looks at the external attack surface using tools like Censys, and then looks at the internal side, examining what is in AWS and other clouds using CSPM. However, there is not anything that currently ties a property on the outside to a system on the inside, especially when you have additional security layers like web application firewalls that actually mitigate the risk.

Crowdsourced triage has uncovered critical website vulnerabilities and continuously improves our security posture
Bugcrowd could be improved or enhanced as they seem to have a lot of internal churn at the moment, so they could be more stable and more customer-focused. By customer-focused, I mean they are not very good at communicating what is changing on their side to their customers. I am now on my fourth account manager within one year. My latest call with them was with the fourth account manager saying there have been many changes and apologizing that no one I have spoken to in the past is on this call, but going forwards it will be them. With the fourth account manager in a year, it is hard to trust that message.

Exposure monitoring has provided clear risk insights but still needs stronger cloud and data posture
I believe there are two to three areas where Rapid7 Exposure Command can be improved. First, cloud integrations and the ability to assess cloud posture are essential components of an organization's external attack surface nowadays. Rapid7 Exposure Command has the cloud posture assessment feature, but in my opinion, it should be linked with cloud compliance requirements being introduced locally and internationally. Secondly, regarding data criticality, Rapid7 Exposure Command integrates the DSPM feature, which stands for Data Security Posture Management. I believe this feature is present, but it requires enhancement with global data protection regulations such as GDPR. I am learning about more features in products such as Rapid7 Exposure Command. I mentioned cloud posture assessment across Oracle Cloud, Azure Cloud, and AWS Cloud. Features specific to these cloud offerings would be beneficial. With AWS having separate cloud offerings, Rapid7 Exposure Command must cover all available AWS offerings and relevant services. To be honest, this is an area where I am still learning, so I cannot provide a precisely detailed answer.

Pros

"I think of Seemplicity as a fantastic company and a fantastic partner to work with."
"The best features Seemplicity offers include the aggregation logic, the way it is simplified to view and access, and the ability to have a view in a simpler way."
"Before we really struggled with meeting SLAs that were in place because we did not have the information we needed and there was too much back and forth, now we nearly have a perfect SLA meeting time."
"When we started with Seemplicity, we saw an 85% reduction in the number of tickets through deduplication, and that is significant for our teams who are swamped with issues."
"I was also able to pay for the tool twice over by using it for tool rationalization."
"Seemplicity is doing amazing work, and organizations were able to better meet their SLAs, better communicate to their leadership and executive level about the overall risk and exposure levels, and overall have a better understanding of what they are dealing with."
"Seemplicity has positively impacted our organization by allowing us to provide a single viewpoint into vulnerability management and pen testing for our customers."
"Seemplicity really shines on that remediation component and being able to automate that workflow, and that's a gap where we could not find one of our existing technology partners to be able to fill that void."
"I believe Bugcrowd is highly stable."
"Bugcrowd has programs that disclose rewards and invite researchers to new programs."
"Bugcrowd's use of crowdsourced hackers has helped in discovering unique vulnerabilities."
"One of the features I like most about Bugcrowd is the ability to create a report in a very easy way."
"The most valuable aspect of Bugcrowd is that it provides a long list of different websites or web applications where I can report vulnerabilities."
"Working on Bugcrowd has made me a better security engineer since it provides a competitive environment to report successful vulnerabilities."
"I would rate Bugcrowd a ten out of ten."
"Bugcrowd's support team is very active and supportive."
"Rapid7 Exposure Command provides me with satisfaction knowing that my external attack surface and digital risk are being monitored."
"Compared to Tenable or Qualys, Rapid7 Exposure Command is definitely affordable for small-sized or mid-sized engagements, although there are some challenges with detection."

Cons

"Seemplicity could be improved with some of the aggregation accessibility. Currently, it is a bit of a black box and can be a bit of a bottleneck."
"My advice to others looking into using Seemplicity is to be aware that you will get more information from support than from the documents themselves, and it can take a bit of time after feeding in data to show meaningful results."
"For Seemplicity, I would say two things for improvement. First, reporting customization could go further because this industry is evolving; the CEO tries to get much information that they are looking for."
"As the account is growing, some of the dashboards are slowing down, so optimizing that could be one area for improvement."
"Every tool, including Seemplicity, can improve, and I think it needs to further enhance its deduplication capabilities and understand how to integrate with more security tools, especially as new AI security tools emerge."
"Seemplicity can be improved because sometimes the rule setting can be a little complicated, and for instance, filtering out the criteria may not be useful at times, as it can be too complicated based on the business requirements."
"The capability out of the box today is decent, but over time, if we can allow users and organizations to build their own view and how they want to report on things, that would be a great value add."
"Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time."
"There is room for improvement in Bugcrowd's response time when customer input is needed for resolving tickets. If this time could be minimized, it would be very helpful."
"Bugcrowd should provide more access to the reports, similar to HackerOne, allowing for full disclosure once a bug is resolved, so researchers can learn from them. They should improve the responsibility type and response time of their customer support, especially when the issue is urgent."
"Bugcrowd could be improved or enhanced as they seem to have a lot of internal churn at the moment, so they could be more stable and more customer-focused."
"The triaging process has slowed down compared to three years ago. It now takes more time to resolve a reported vulnerability and receive the payout."
"Rapid7 Exposure Command is not as easy to deploy compared to Qualys, and the detection rates are lower than Qualys."
"In the Pakistani market, Rapid7 Exposure Command's pricing is on the expensive side, and that represents one of the challenges we are facing."
