Offers flexibility in design and saves time in budgeting and forecasting processes
I find Board to be simple and easy to use. It offers significant flexibility in designing solutions. The system overall is very useful, with many capabilities that provide flexibility. Our budgeting and forecasting processes support around three hundred twenty users who would otherwise rely on Excel, making Board invaluable for saving time.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"BOARD provides in-depth insight to enable users in their decision-making process."
"I have been totally thrilled with BOARD."
"If you want to streamline your business and reduce hourly time using the creation of spreadsheets or other financial reports that they should go for BOARD because it drastically reduces time."
"Depending on your data, and what kind of business you are doing, I think investing in BOARD is a good, viable solution, because it's very user-friendly, and once you get the hang of it you can do wonders."
"We can build reports super fast."
"The drill down is good for people who have that high level view, because they can do some analysis based on it."
"The most valuable features are the reporting and the charts. The reporting functionality is handy for aggregation, when it comes to planning. That ability is fascinating and our users are very happy with it. The charts and the reporting allow our users to see all the data and to see how things are going this year or in the COVID situation. They're seeing everything. Instead of having to check data line by line, they're seeing it in a graph and they're seeing it in charts."
"Instead of taking two people a week each month to perform our internal KPI reporting, the same two people can have it done in a day."
"Helps to compare production costs across different departments."
"The product helped determine the organization's true cost of providing its products and services to customers."
"The product allows us to calculate the distributed cost across activities."
"We use ABM as an expense allocation model and it has improved the awareness and accountability of the cost incurred due to the traceability feature."
"Cube generation is a valuable feature."

Cons

"It would be nice to have more connectors for other data sources. BOARD is a great tool to become the single source of the truth. Making it easier to connect data sources for niche software tools will make it easier to keep everything in one place."
"The Windows client is a different story. It's not scalable at all, so we decided to go with the Web."
"If we could upload other data, e.g., pivot tables which can be done in BOARD already, that we have pre-existing and have that data distribute to more complex spreadsheets, I would like that going forward."
"The engine of the Board should be made powerful like the engine of IBM planning which is more powerful in terms of performance. The consolidated finance area also needs improvement."
"In general, we would like to see better logging in the procedural world as we currently find it deficient in procedural areas."
"I would like to see better relationships with the partners."
"It would be huge in the future if BOARD offered a lot more graphs and presentations, and it was a lot easier to use."
"Initially we did have issues with the BOARD crashing, but at that time I was fairly new."
"The data integration is very complex Visualization of the cost flow is not user-friendly It takes hours to build OLAP cubes to analyze the results of the model"
"We experienced severe performance issues when the models created are getting more details and becoming more complex."
"It could be made much more simpler. Most of the time it looks like a black box for developers."
"The usability needs to be improved but bear in mind that we did not have the latest update."
"The interface is poorly designed and could really use an improvement to compete with other comparable software."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's price is a bit high compared to other solutions."
"Find a partner who will take responsibility for the implementation, and be available for support."
"It is not the cheapest product on earth, but you get so much. It provides good value for money."
"In terms of the pricing, it was reasonable. BOARD is not the lowest in the market, but it was reasonable for us."
"The solution is quite expensive, if it is made cheaper then we can have more clients. I rate it four out of ten."
