Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Long-term ticket management has become straightforward and supports efficient incident handling
The best feature of BMC Remedy is that you can easily understand all the features in it as they are not complicated. When you click on new incident, all the fields are self-explanatory regarding what is required to be put in the work details node section assigned to chrome. These are all pretty easy to understand, and nothing much training is required for a person to start working on BMC Remedy.

A user-friendly solution that has a good user interface, but its technical support is not good enough
Around 20 to 25 staff members are needed to deploy and maintain the solution, including two managers, one architect, and other implementers. IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT does not adopt the latest technology. The solution can be integrated with our existing IT environment through some web services and connectors. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a great solution."
"Automation Anywhere is very simple to use; the features are very simple, the application is light, and overall I love it."
"My experience with Automation Anywhere is quite good because we can automate the whole end-to-end process with no human intervention, and we are able to focus on higher-value activities rather than working on the same repetitive tasks, which is quite important and gives the highest impact to the business as well."
"The platform itself is intuitive and easy to use. I have even mentioned to people who aren't developers or very computer savvy that they could pick up Automation Anywhere and just get started."
"By automating most of our LOB's on the healthcare side and putting it on production, we have saved millions of dollars and were also able to achieve FTE benefits."
"My impression of the impact on visibility in the automation lifecycle is that we help to standardize the process and become more productive in those activities and visibility."
"We can access it anywhere. E.g., I can access dashboard from my Control Room on my mobile app using Automation Anywhere."
"Automation Anywhere has lots of features, some of them are accuracy increases, time consumption reduced, scalability. Automation Anywhere does not require a strong knowledge of programming languages. The dashboard is user-friendly."
"Financial aspects, and handling of the life cycle."
"We can create our own profile in BMC Remedy, track how many tickets we've closed on a daily basis, monitor how many SLAs we've escalated, and see how many tickets we've received daily."
"The solution is extremely user-friendly."
"The most valuable BMC Remedy Asset Management are the dashboards and reports for the CIO."
"BMC Remedy Asset Management is pretty easy for quite a lot of functions."
"The customer support is great, maybe that's because I'm with a big client."
"The solution offers some very good features."
"It has some good features for tracking. They also have a cloud and a mobile access feature."
"IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT is a user-friendly solution that has a good user interface."

Cons

"With Oracle, Blue Prism was easier and a little bit more stable than Automation Anywhere. Even with ServiceNow, the automation was very unreliable. It did not work as expected."
"It is nice being able to develop and manage/schedule scripts from the same web browser interface, but there are times I wish that the bot developer screen was made more user friendly."
"Automation Anywhere could enhance its services by establishing a local office in our region to provide better support."
"The Excel part needs improvement because we use it as a database. Right now, we are using UiPath for this feature, as that RPA tool allows us to sort, search, and filter in Excel databases."
"It needs to have more options for integrating with other tools."
"IQ Bot has been changed and enhanced for Automation Anywhere, but the accuracy is still not optimal."
"Reporting could be better because there is a little bit of overkill in getting information about the utilization of the bot license. This could be a little bit improved."
"If you are not on-premise, then you will need to have Citrix automation."
"I think the way the Software Asset Management is designed makes it kind of complicated."
"BMC Remedy's change management module needs enhancement."
"Our management is trying to leave BMC Remedy for ServiceNow."
"There are issues from a product functionality perspective."
"BMC Remedy could be improved by incorporating analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) modules."
"In BMC Remedy, integration is a problem and even APIs are not available."
"If a user isn't using an out-of-the-box configuration, it can get a bit complex."
"The tool's GUI is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The solution’s initial setup is complex and technical support is not good enough."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its usage is expensive for us because my user base is mostly in Manila and KL. The unit cost of labor is cheaper there than in the U.S. or Australia, which puts a bit more stress on how to get a positive ROI while continuing to use it."
"I am not responsible for the pricing part, but I know the pricing is competitive compared to other tools."
"The pricing of AA is similar to UiPath."
"It is not cheap, with costs ranging between 700 to 800 dollars per month. While Power Automate is cheaper at 15 dollars per month, Automation Anywhere offers superior features, user-friendliness, and smoothness."
"We're paying a monthly subscription fee for the bot and for services. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"We have seen a return of investment because it takes less time to market in our current process. I would estimate a times savings between 20 to 30 percent."
"I do not know the price, but I am told that it is cheaper than UiPath."
"The solution's pricing is pretty decent."
"The tool is expensive."
"The pricing is on the expensive side."
"I find the pricing to be reasonable."
"The pricing is in-between. It's not too cheap, and it's not too expensive. For a large organization, it's worth it. But for a smaller one, it might be a bit costly."
"BMC no longer sells Remedy separately. They've transitioned to selling the BMC Helix platform. Remedy itself is nearing end-of-support."
"The product is costly. On one to ten points, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the product's price as nine."
"BMC should decrease the pricing further."
"It is an expensive tool."
"IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT is an expensive solution."
