AI improves incident response with quick auto response capability
I am using Bitdefender GravityZone XDR in my capacity as a CTO and a partner or reseller of Bitdefender I find that the auto-response capability is most valuable. It improves incident response times. I also appreciate the overall utilization of AI to enhance security posture. The product could…

Customization capabilities allow clients to autonomously deploy policies
There are a few areas where Trellix Endpoint Security ( /categories/endpoint-protection-platform-epp ) can improve. Firstly, the high CPU utilization when agents are installed can negatively impact client systems. Another issue is with end-users outside the network, where the agent handler sometimes fails to deploy the product properly. Improvements are needed in forensic analytics to detect specific vulnerabilities. It would also help if detection specifics were identified more quickly and the problem-solving process accelerated, especially to meet larger clients' expectations.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution has an automatic patch management capability."
"The HyperDetect feature in GravityZone XDR is effective."
"I find that the auto-response capability is most valuable."
"I appreciate the overall utilization of AI to enhance security posture."
"I would rate GravityZone XDR more than nine out of ten."
"Scalability is pretty easy. It's easy to increase the capacity. You can just add on licenses to the existing license, and the duration of the license can be adjusted. For example, you've already bought a license for a year, and you want to add some more users. We can just add on licenses for the remaining period so that the entire organization can have the same expiry date. That makes renewal easier."
"It provides an in-depth analysis and gives recommendations, along with a historical search capability."
"It has a very simple like multi-tenancy option and scalability is outstanding."
"Anyone can use it, the protection is good, and they have all of the features."
"It's quite easy to install agents."
"There is a new feature where you can set thresholds for all the CPU consumption allowing for no consumption on the servers when the scans happen. It is a separate plugin or addon, and if we have it on all the virtual machines it automatically checks the resources, and based on that, it will schedule the scans. That is something that I have not seen in other antivirus solutions, such as Symantec."
"The new central console is better than the earlier one."
"The solution includes a good combination of features for both signature and signature-less."
"The features we have found most valuable have been containment as well as the ability to triage agent activities."
"It can be deployed quickly, and it's scalable. Those are the two advantages of it."

Cons

"The product could be improved by offering a single panel for the management of all Bitdefender products. Additionally, there might be a need to simplify the interface in the future."
"Another area of improvement is CPU utilization. CPU utilization could be improved."
"The resource consumption is high for Bitdefender GravityZone XDR, nearly using one gigabyte of RAM, especially on Windows 10 and 11."

"The solution’s pricing could be improved."
"The product could be improved by offering a single panel for the management of all Bitdefender products."
"It's not very mature, and additional costs are involved."
"Sometimes, while installing the ePO, we were getting so many errors and I don't know why it happened."
"The product could do more to keep administration alerted to detected threats on endpoints."
"It can be quite complicated to learn McAfee Endpoint Security and to feel comfortable with the environment."
"I would like to see more local integration for the applications that we use."
"MVISION Endpoint is only compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 2016 and above. If I were using a Linux operating system, I would not be able to use MVISION Endpoint."
"In some cases, the detection part was not accurate enough. We opened a few cases for the vendor to help us with some miscategorized findings on the endpoints. There were some false positive detections, and we had to work with the vendor to get them tested. We even had some incidents that were not detected. It was a black box type of solution for us."
"While we are pleased with the endpoint solution, there should also be a separate one for the firewall."
"We would like to solution to offer better security."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten."
"It's not the price of the software itself that makes it expensive. It's because you have to buy a VM; you have to buy additional hardware. All those things make it slightly costlier."
"Pricing is fair."
"Trellix Endpoint Security is an inexpensive platform."
"Microsoft Defender is not cheap and from a cost perspective, Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) is a better option."
"We are on an annual subscription for McAfee MVISION Endpoint. The cost for the license could be less expensive."
"The license costs are very reasonable, around 1,000 to 1,200 rupees per year."
"We had a discount when purchasing the solution because of the size of our company and we are happy with the price."
"They should reduce the cost or make it free, open-source software."
"We pay for the license on an annual basis."
